We loved The Hemmel - the owners were very welcoming & our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and great shower plus there is access to a delightful courtyard which is a real sun trap. It's near Holy Island & there are also lots of beautiful walks close by.  Breakfast uses local ingredients & is very tasty while the owners are also careful to make sure guests stay safe during covid but without making it feel awkward.

Absolutely beautiful. Beautiful location . Lovely couple who run the b and b . Room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was gorgeous. Breakfast was fabulous. Absolutely love our night away.  Thank you so much. X 

Fantastic place to stay rooms spacious & clean we were in family room with double doors to patio area more like a bed room than a b&b room. Alan & Linda are the perfect hosts who did more than any normal b&b owners would consider. If you like it nice & quiet with breath taking scenery stay here. Breakfast was lovely with ample choice again nothing to much trouble. The only place to stay in Beadnell check availability here first.

Was booked for our Japanese part of our family as a surprise. The other grandchildren were staying in the caravan at Beadnell. It was "Beautiful" Takoko announced...thats from a facidiousiouly clean race of people.Room was spotless, owners were Fantastic!
nothings a problem at the Hemmel , child friendly......ask where the cut is..shortcut to the beach is across a field ...brilliant. Grandkids loved seeing the ponies in the field overlooked by the Hemmel and were at the beach raring to play in 10 mins.
The Breakfast WOw!  turned vegatarians into meat eaters....
I cannot thank the Kind owners of the Hemmel enough, for helping make my ill mothers holiday a dream come true......seeing the Grandchildren so happy.

Stayed two nights, close to beach and near to other areas of interest. Lovely host, only met Alan but he was smashing. Room was comfortable with en suite bathroom. Unfortunately I couldn't open the window as it stuck and when I tried I found the window frame was coming away and the walls are quite thin so you can clearly hear the other guests. Breakfast lovely with more than enough choice. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend even with the couple of points mentioned.

Lovely small dog friendly B & B

Room basic, shower in bedroom and very small  toilet. No ventilation in either and unable to open window. No information in room on local amenities, restaurants, attractions or meal times. Basic breakfast of orange juice, cereals and cooked English. Only contact with owners was when we gave our order at breakfast. 
Towels were changed daily.
