Brantridge Park

We have just returned from our 33rd stay at Brantridge Park since Xmas 2008, and had booked for Xmas 2016 but have had our reservation cancelled as Brantridge has now been sold and will close permanently on 4th of December. We will sadly miss staying there. I would compare Brantridge to a very elderly Dowager Duchess sitting in a corner, somewhat tired and careworn, living with the memories of past greatness but still reflecting signs of what had once been. Not everyone perhaps fully appreciated the positive aspects but it always provided comfortable hospitality and good value for money. It always offered a warm, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and the air of faded gentility was all part of its intrinsic charm. The staff could not have been more helpful or supportive in meeting our requirements, sometimes and short notice and we felt we had become part of “the Brantridge family”. Unfortunately they now face a Xmas with some uncertainty. Hopefully the new owners will breathe new life into the estate, which has always had considerable, if unrealised potential, and we wish them every success in its new incarnation. There are probably no other properties in the area offering the same advantages.
