May Cottage B&B

A lovely b&b on the Norfolk coast. Carol and Jeff gave us a really warm welcome to their lovely home. The rooms are spotless, beds very comfortable and breakfast is spot on. This is the ideal place to relax and unwind with walks along the beach just a short walk from the door.

The room was great, with a comfortable bed. The room was warm and very clean. The shower was excellent. A very quite location too.
Breakfasts were excellent - quality, quantity & choice.
Carol & Jeff were very friendly with just the right level of helpfulness.
Ideally positioned with a nice sandy beach 5 minutes walk and on the coast for touring north & east Norfolk by car

This just has to be one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in over the years.  Jeff & Carol are brilliant hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats during the very nice breakfasts - there was always plenty of choice and all good.
The beds were very comfortable which makes a nice change from most places we have stayed in.  Lots to do very close by and a great beach. We intend to go back.

What a fantastic B&B .Everything was just perfect. Breakfast out of this world,rooms furnished beautifully and to top it all delightful hosts .Location idyllic ,with a pub within walking distance which does really good food .Close to the beach too. We will be returning for sure .

We stayed in the self catering annex , everything was superb , lovely accommodation,  gardens and our own private patio. 
We would certainly recommend and hope to return next year.

Our stay at May Cottage could not of been more delightful. Carol and Jeff's hospitality is second to none. They are such a lovely welcoming couple who could not do enough for us during our stay. The Sheringham Room was simply stunning and the surrounding gardens were an excellent place for us take some memorable photographs on our special day. May Cottage is ideally placed as  perfect base for exploring near by villiages and beaches boasting some magnificent views and scenery. Thank you for a fabulous weekend stay.

We can now see why so many people return here time and time again! We booked the Sheringham room with lovely garden views. Room is large and has everything you need. Bedding etc is all nice quality, bed is very comfy! Just off the road which is not a main road and it is so very quiet - no ear plugs were needed on this stay! And literally minutes form the sea. Hosts are super friendly and clearly enjoy what they do. They have good tips if you are touring about and even put on rock n roll music in the backround at breakfast (our thing!) for us. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. Even if you are a veggie like me - there's plenty. Cooked breakfast was really good and some of the best scrambled eggs we've had (surprising how many people just cannot get this right?). oh and lovely napkins (not paper or serviettes) - proper napkins...it's the small things!
Excellent base for touring around Norfolk as we did. We did the North Norfolk Railway, Horsey Beach (for the seals), Cromer and the Norfolk Broads.
There are few places where we genuinly want to return but this is definately up there as one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in.

Sherigham room and bed very comfortable,  Brilliant breakfast, with plenty of choice, beautifully prepared.  Great parking in lovely garden.  Very friendly, professional and helpful hosts.  A great location for Cromer and the whole East Norfolk coastline and North Broads. Fabulous

We and our friends had a very pleasant 4 night stay at May cottage. It is in a nice quiet area set in lovely grounds with on site parking, just a stones throw from the beach and a couple of walkable restaurants. On arrival we were given cake, tea and coffee in the garden, which was a lovely gesture. The rooms were beautifully furnished and clean with tea / coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer etc. Both rooms had lovely bathrooms with large showers. Breakfast was excellent with good choices. We would like to thank Carol and Jeff for their patience and hospitality during our stay. We would highly recommend May Cottage and we will certainly be returning.

Arrived about 11am for my grandads funeral room was nice no complaints apart from we were asked what time we were leaving for the funeral as she had a meeting at 1.30 how strange was that never had the happen before.
we were a young couple and did not feel we were treated with respect we went down for breakfast around 9am but the doors were closed and sounded like The was a private meeting going on so we decided to go to the kingfisher cafe instead with this asked where we were going as we hadn’t paid but our cloths were in the room still 

Won’t be staying there again ever
