We spent 2 nights at the charming Pond Cottage at Frasers. The first thing I said when we walked in was, ‘the online photos don’t do it justice!’ It’s a luxurious and spacious self-catering space on one level (a small barn conversion) with its own garden area overlooking a pond. Very private, very quiet, absolutely restful. The sitting room and kitchen are in the middle of the property, with en-suite bedrooms each with their own tv on either end, which was lovely for us, having our tweenage son happily enjoying his own bedroom, tv and bathroom completely out of earshot of us at the other end in the spacious master suite. Frasers have successfully given cute cosy cottage vibes, along with space and luxury. Perfect for a country break. There are some stunning pubs nearby and we did a day trip to nearby Folkestone, which has undergone massive regeneration on the Harbour Arm and is crammed full of quirky  charming little bars and restaurants as well as the beautiful Sunny Beach. You can also visit the 4x cinema in Ashford and experience being shaken about in your chair with water, wind and smell as you watch an action movie. Our son loved this. We’d love to return at some point when London again gets too much! Thanks in particular to Jo at Frasers, who was very patient with our ever-changing dates. 

Rest and recharge 

Stayed over night and found the room very comfortable and immaculately clean. The owner was extremely helpful and couldn't do more for us. The Brunch menu was lovely and  we would definitely go back! 

Beautiful location, high quality accommodation and impeccable hospitality. 

We recently hosted our Mum’s 60th birthday here. We hired Stags Barn- the rooms and the dining area and we worked with Jo to create a menu suited to my mum and our guests. My mum and my sister are gluten-intolerant and Jo arranged for all of the canapés to be gluten free so they could have everything. The food was all amazing. The rooms in Stags Barn are beautifully decorated and really comfortable. Mum stayed in ‘Mallard’ which had a beautiful free-standing bath in the room (as well as rainfall shower) and a hot tub outside. It is really peaceful and there are amazing views over the countryside. Everything is finished to a high standard but it has a really lovely relaxed vibe. All of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the experience. We loved all the little touches and the service was fantastic. We’ll definitely stay again. Thanks to Jo, Ben, Alexia, Lisa and all the other wonderful staff that made the event such a success.

60th birthday party

We booked this property for our large family of 21 people to spend the Christmas break together. The accommodation was top notch, with enough bedrooms and common room to accommodate us all. 
The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances with enough pots, pans and crockery for us all. 

Jo and the entire team at Frasers were extremely helpful.

Large Family Christmas

Food was nice, staff attitude and general customer service appalling. Charged for an extra person even though the establishment got the booking wrong, causing me as the customer to pay extra. 

I’d recommend anyone planning to use Frasers be extra cautions when dealing with the booking - get confirmation multiple times and even then still expect bad service and poor attitude.

Baby shower afternoon tea

This place is amazing. 

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a smile and genuinely felt valued (even the farm cat gives you their full attention) Off the beaten track, the peace and quiet of this family run farm sets this place apart.  

Each room is away from the other in converted farm buildings. Luxury is in everything you touch. Wifi or tv reception is not perfect and the water pressure of the shower is not high, but the quality of the furnishings and the welcome from the  lovely chef, to the Management is outstanding. Food produce  is locally sourced which is great for the neighbouring villages.

Yon can even book your wedding here. What else could you ask for? Perfect.

Quiet. Genuine friendly welcome. Breakfast outstanding.

I really wanted to like my stay here. It seemed perfect on paper. 

I have stayed in a few hotels over the world. Some in very poor nations, some in developing nations, some in very advanced nations. They all had one thing in common. A door on the toilet. I am not sure who thinks an open plan toilet is a good idea. As a couple, whether it’s your first night together or 1000th….. do you really want an open plan toilet? Is there anyone living with someone and decides ‘let’s take the door off the toilet so we can be really intimate!’  Bizarre planning and design. 

Next up… the big green light that’s constantly on in the room. Over the bed. Facing a mirror. So the room was never dark. It was like sleeping in a room with a broken traffic light in it. Terrible. For £250 a night the least you should expect is a toilet door and a dark room to sleep in. If budget hotels can do it on half the price there is no excuse here. 

We ate dinner at the restaurant. Which was okay. The dining room was devoid of atmosphere. With weird elevator music being played. 

Sadly travel restrictions during COVID19 seems to have given some hotels, B&Bs the belief they can charge what they want for accommodation that isn’t worth it. To put things into perspective I paid £250 for a one night stay here. Earlier in the month I spent a week in Tunisia, flights, accommodation (which included a dark room and a toilet door!), transfers, food and drink for just over twice the amount of a one night stay here.

For reference I did want to speak to the staff on checkout about the issues but they didn’t ask. They just said ‘oh you’ve paid, have a good day!’. 

Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

No toilet door

I booked Frasers as a surprise couple of days away for my wife’s 60th birthday.
It was our first visit to Frasers. 
The booking process was very good in that Frasers, specifically Alexia and Lisa, were very accommodating with my requests. 
We stayed in the Lambourne room.  It has a four poster bed, very comfortable, spacious and nice interior and with a deep bath in the bathroom.  It’s all on the ground level.  Outside the entrance to the room is a small table and chairs.
As well as our room, our friends, two couples, also booked one night so we could all celebrate my wife’s birthday together.
The day comprised with a good hearty breakfast care of many local ingredients and then onto the day’s activities before returning to Frasers for some pre-dinner drinks seated in the grounds of the estate and then onto an evening meal of celebration. 
Being a party of 6 we chose the 7 course taster menu which did not disappoint.  Firstly, Jimmy the chef, adjusted the menu for us all to accommodate one member of the 6 who did not eat fish of any kind.
The food came out beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We all agreed that all the courses complimented each other.
The service throughout the meal was exceptional and the courses were delivered at the right times, no big gaps waiting nor one course landing on the table as the previous was exiting.
All in all a great weekend was had at Frasers.  Yes it is remote, but we knew that and that suited our needs perfectly.

Lovely country accommodation and restaurant set on a 300 acre estate.

Spent 2 lovely nights at Frasers. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The welcome was warm. The team were friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Alexa for looking after us, Jo for the help with planning a walk and the chef for delicious meals. We will be back.

Wonderful farm stay

Friendly staff, kind when asked to reduce music noise and blow out scented candles  due to Autism,
Third time of visiting  and sadly the second time of  not receiving  what we ordered even after  confirming  with a couple of members of staff. Best to email order rather than request  any special  dietary  requirements  over the phone. 
Chicken and pork  were tasty and cooked properly  but were just warm when we received  them.
The adjacent  table  were also served non vegetarian  when they ordered  vegetarian amd chef had to come out  so maybe just a bad night,
Overall  for the price I would  expect to have ben served the food we ordered.
Didn't  want to raise the concerns on the evening in front of others as didn't  see it fair on Frasers.
Explained our concerns afterwards  and the  restaurant was not able to offer a partial refund  of any good will gesture.
