A gorgeous location and great opportunity for any half-decent, try- hard, aspiring hotelier.
Sadly wasted by the lady owners and now gone bust, with no surprise there.
Trip Advisor serves a great purpose in giving owners honest opinions - shame these owners so obviously didn’t listen.

Gone Bust - Deservedly So

The rooms are lovely and clean, staff are friendly.  Restaurant served really nice food resonable prices.  All in all a lovely place to stay surrounded by fields quite and peaceful village not fair with a nice pub. 

Wonderful weekend

Stayed in an Oast house room en route to France and again on return. Pre-booked and impractical to vary our return venue after our disappointing initial stay. 

Situation is excellent, had a warm welcome and the food is OK but the whole site pervades an air of neglect. The Oast house rooms are very poor with dead flies and dirt everywhere. Can't speak for the other rooms but the general decline of the grounds etc since the original photos were taken suggests a downward spiral of significant proportions.

Great place

We had visited Elvey Farm twice before but not for seven or eight years and decided to book again because we remembered how nice our stay(s) had been. It is in a lovely location with a nice pub close by  (Rose and Crown) and the village of Pluckley only 2 miles away. I will try to be as fair and objective as I can with my review of our recent stay.
Pros: friendly staff, nice restaurant, very good breakfasts, clean room and bathroom, toiletries provided, nice seating area, quiet, dog friendly.
Cons: bedroom decor a bit tired, poor WiFi, v small tv, dinner was ok (no fish on menu, chicken was v tasty but the rocket salad which accompanied it was v unimaginative, tiramisu did not have nearly enough booze in it, if any! and my wife’s ice cream had melted (they didn’t charge for it).
Will we stay again? Not sure really, I think that the management need to do a critical review of all facilities and services and bring Elvey Farm up to 2019 standards which everyone now expects relative to the prices being charged.

Not quite up to snuff

Booked 2 rooms online - took several days to get confirmation - couldn't get through by phone all weekend? Rooms allocated were not as booked and needed airing desperately. We had.......Layers of dust, broken chair, misted windows, extension leads around bed for lighting (not safe with glass of water on bedside unit), loose tap, hand basin leaked, hot water flow erratic, toilet needed bleaching, towels not great, shower looked scary, grubby water stained walls, restaurant OK but food very over salted, noisy neighbours, very late night arrivals, underwear left in bedside unit by previous guests!
The FREE WiFi is rubbish too!
Nobody available in the morning to complain to?
Really not worth the money!

Great location, forget the rest! No way is this an AA 4 star hotel ?

The place is very typical, suggestive, the surrounding countryside very nice. We stayed a couple of nights and dinner. Good Italian cuisine, breakfast with little appeal, nonexistent on the sweet side. very special room in the old hop dryer, a little too rustica for Italian taste and for the price (many details damaged, cleaning definitely to improve, mattress cracked) microscopic bathroom type cabin ship. Maybe we didn't trim the room, but respecting the site elvey farm has disappointed.

A little disappointing.

Elvey Farm is the ideal place if you want to spend a few days immersed in the atmosphere of the authentic English countryside: immersed in the greenery of pastures and forests, with all the charm of an ancient farmhouse and the comforts of an elegant and refined structure. In addition to all the hospitality and hospitality Italian enhanced even more by an excellent cuisine. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, the staff very kind, attentive and attentive to all the needs of the customer. For a trip to Kent and Sussex you can not wish for better.

The authentic English countryside and Italian hospitality

As a stopover on our way back from Scotland, we had chosen Elvey Farm just outside the Eurotunnel. Unfortunately, too bad for just one night, we regretted not being able to stay longer. The rooms are very nicely furnished. Very nice Italian owners. An absolute hit is the Italian restaurant in my house, where I got one of the best Italian food. Another side note: although the farm is not far from the motorway to the farm, as there are few exits, the drive from the motorway is very long, you have to expect about 30 minutes.

A wonderful stay

A beautiful and large farmhouse welcomes you into the quiet English countryside: the rooms are so spacious that they allow a family with children to stay! The beds are good but the bathroom would deserve a thorough renovation. Good cleanliness. English breakfast is very cozy, but served only from 8:00. We had dinner there one evening and it was a good surprise: the chef is Italian and the map is mostly transalpine... Overall very good.
