Just though I would drop you a line or two to congratulate you on the standard of service I received while staying with you on Tuesday. The room was a delight. Outstanding In every way. The staff in the golf club were courteous helpful and professional. The food was tasty, well presented and excellent value for money.  Highly recommended.

Booked here cos we were going to chepstow very friendly staff very helpful and rooms were really nice The house has been converted into rooms and done very well plus leaving the outside as original 
Bar and meals were ok and fairly priced considering its a golf club 
Ample car parking too 
Would stay here again if ever in Thornbury again

This hotel is very good value for money in a lovely location. We stayed in a double room which was very comfortable with a spotless ensuite. We had a good night's sleep as the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
We had breakfast in the clubhouse the next morning and they had gluten free options. Staff were very helpful. We would stay here again.

Great location rooms really nice and clean found all the staff friendly and helpful great golf facilities nice club house /restaurant 10 minutes walk away  you’ll find some great restaurants and pubs can highly recommend the the swan great staff very welcoming

Many thanks for a lovely stay.  Comfortable accom, nice food, tidy course, very helpful jolly staff (special mention for Jamie) well atocked shop, the whole experience is worth 10/10.  Definitely stay here again.

The room was gorgeous, it was clean, comfy and calming, will definitely come again!

Thank you to all the staff that saved our day after we were supposed to check into Thornbury Castle only to find it was like a building site.
It was our silver wedding anniversary. 
We had a swift check in here, beautiful room in the Lodge and a warm welcome. We sat on the terrace, had a meal in the evening and really had a wonderful time.

Great quiet place to stay , nice room with beamed ceilings

Perfect course very forgiving the lodge is brilliant nice sized room club house perfect for drinks and very accommodating all the staff are friendly and sticking with new rules highly recommend for anyone who want to go solo or with friends

Very peaceful location in the middle of a golf course. Bar and driving range all very close. We cycled there, so if you don’t have a car there is a limitation what to do in the evening. The room was very clean and sealed for our arrival.

Our stay

Good value for the money in a lovely location.

Stopped here for an overnighter en route to Newent. The rooms are large and comfortable and check in at the Golf Clubhouse was seamless. Breakfast in the clubhouse was well cooked and very relaxed. The only downside was the level of noise coming from other room's plumbing and TVs. That said its a very old lodge and only to be expected. The shower in the bathroom was super and I was very reluctant to get out!
Overall really good value for money.

Fabulous stay! Excellent location & staff

Lovely Lodge. Unfortunately we had no water in the morning and we had the merest of washes and no showers. This may have been due to the bad weather  but there was no compensation. Meals at the cafe were good and prompt. Service there on the whole good. Rooms comfortable but small touches like water glasses and small tablet soaps would have improved the experience. The only soap was a hand wash.  A single hand towel for 2, although 2 large bath towels.

Nice venue for a meet with friends, all the better if you have a round of golf. Choice of courses to suit all levels of play plus a putting practice area. Friendly bar with an outdoor patio area, nice in warm weather. Sunday carvery reasonable with the family, but go early to get the best veg. Good venue for wedding reception, with nice areas for photos.

Pleasant surroundings

Good clean and comfortable . Location quiet. Attached to golf course. Check in  at golf house reception where they provide a Cooked breakfast as an extra and light evening snacks. Friendly staff would definely return. Bathroom light a bit annoying as it come on automatically as soon as you enter and fan kicks in but can be isolated.



Bed no breakfast

What can say about Thornbury Lodge it was absolutely beautiful. We attended a wedding at the venue, the room in the lodge was lovely a great size for a family room. The bathroom again a great size for a family room. The fireplace was lovely and we’d love to come back in the winter to see the fire lit. It was an exceptionally hot day but the room was wonderfully cool it was such a treat to sleep in even with four of us. The breakfast was great a good selection but only fried eggs no scrambled. Overall a great stay and we would thoroughly recommend not only as somewhere to stay but for an event.   

Wedding 

i was very happy with the first room i was offered, until i realized it was close to a boiler room and a constant boiler noise was not acceptable for me to have a good nights rest.i had no choice to inform the receptionist,who was very approachable kind and understanding, she quickly telephoned the manager who suggested i be swapped to another room, as the boiler noise was going to continue throughout the night, this was done with the minimum of fuss and i was not made to feel a nuisance in any way, the room i was shown to was every bit as comfortable as the one i needed to leave and i had a very enjoyable two night stay. i would most definitely use this accommodation again.
