We had been staying in Devon, and vacated our hotel, because it was so awful. Luckily for us we booked into Thornbury Castle. What a beautiful property in beautiful grounds. We were made to feel welcome by reception staff and were shown to a wonderful room called Audley, which was well appointed, comfortable and clean with views of the garden and church. The dining experience was extremely good, we had the a la carte, which we couldn't fault, the waiting staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was equally as good, good choice, freshly cooked. All areas of the castle are stunning, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The grounds very tidy and well cared for. We would not hesitate to return.
