Aloft Palm Jumeirah Hotel

Where do I start?? This hotel, despite being probably one of the smallest and most budget friendly places to stay on the palm, this hotel is superb! The customer service is second to none. Every member of staff we dealt with could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Any problems, queries, or questions were dealt with with efficiency and professionalism. Wissem, one of the reception staff members is an asset to the hotel. She is so lovely and helpful. She helped us immensely and never tired of us asking her questions (which we did quite a lot!) The kitchen staff are excellent and really looked after our daughter, who has an allergy to nuts. Even the restaurant manager came to see us on our first morning to check everything was ok. The food is ok, plenty to choose from, maybe some dishes lacked seasoning, however, you find this often happens in buffet style restaurants when they are trying to cater to a diverse audience. The pastries at breakfast are very good, and they serve proper fruit juice! None of the awful watered down synthetic stuff you often get in hotels. There are two other restaurants within the hotel, a Mexican and a Greek restaurant. Both ok, the Greek one is the better of the two. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and very clean. We got left little notes from the housekeeping staff saying to just ask for additional amenities to make our stay more comfortable. Towels were changed daily, and the towels are lovely, white, fluffy, and they go around even the larger lady (like moi!). The pool area is super clean with plenty of sun loungers to go around. One of the bar tenders ( i didn't catch his name unfortunately), he knows how to make one of the best espresso martinis, and the virgin pina coladas are to die for! Honestly, you can't go far wrong in booking this hotel. It is a bit of a way from Dubai city itself, but if you aren't fussed and just want a chill out holiday, the beach is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Taxis are fairly reasonable if you do fancy a ride out to where it all happens!
