I will continue to use Backpacker 16 for every budget Dubai visit I make. 
I have yet to find availability in the female dorms but was surprised at how comfortable and neat it was in the mixed-gender dorm. I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, and the bunks can close up to make it private. 

The staff was very friendly every time and very welcoming. 

They have my vote!

Very friendly to your wallet! Easy transport with metro, shops and restaurants nearby...also esy to grab taxi if needed. Clean rooms..only I wish number of rest rooms were more. It could be difficult to access restroom given number of guests they have...time to time..

I stayed here for 3 days, 2nights and really enjoyed it. I got there 6 hours before checking and was super jet lagged, the bed was ready so they let me check in early which was lovely of them. All the staff were so nice and gave me a list of things to do. It's very close to Internet City train station, about a 10min walk at most with a bag. 
Big bathrooms, rooms a good size and the beds all have a light and PowerPoint with usb plug in, a shelf and a locker for use that has a key and a curtain for each bed. I'd definitely stay again.

I visited this hostel. This hostel is best to spend the vacations and if anyone come to find the job in Dubai. It is cheaper than another hostels. It's staff is good and behaving with good manners like give the homely environment.

I came to know recently that Dubai has hostels while seating in a coffee shop with my bestie one day! 5 minutes from my place, they said. Im a go getter person. Don't you think I just locate them and drop by to check? I went, I got lost, I wandered, I found it! Guys, they do exist and it was an absolutely professional great staff! They just showed me all their rooms almost in the middle of the night! so they have 6-beds in a room- 50 ($15) aed per night option and an executive room - 189 ($ 50) aed per night - which is not bad at all, it has a double bed and own attached bathroom, a shared kitchen with another private room. What I liked about this hostel? The staff! They do surprise me with the sincere hospitality and pro approach though J told them I just want to have a look and might not stay! 
There is an option for a breakfast for another 20 aed ($6).

This is my 2nd time to stay at BackPacker Hostel. The hostel is located in Tecom, Capitol Tower, between Media Rotana and Grand Millenniums Hotel 1st floor. And 5 minuets walk to Dubai internet City Metro station which made it very easy to commute and explore the city. The room that we stayed has a very comfortable bed and very clean. I loved the breakfast area it is like a home atmosphere and Jean has been very helpful and very accommodating, Emanuel who was cleaning the room was the most friendly person, Olga  and Valeria at the reception always asking for feed back and sure special thanks to Nike the manager behind all the outstanding customer service, actually most of the staff at the hostel are all smiles and ready to help. They really made us feel at home. The hostel has improved a lot compared to last visit, I have loved the changes in the reception area and breakfast area. Would love to stay here again when I visit Dubai in the future. Thank you for!

This hostel was great. It was 10mins from the metro and had a pool and gym.
The rooms were nice with a balcony and the curtains gave good privacy.
The staff who worked here were incredibly helpful.
Only tip is don't book there safari as you can get it for a lot cheaper else where.

Located in TECOM, Backpacker 16 has the perfect location for tourists to stay while in Dubai. A 15 minute walk & you’re ready to head to any destination via the Dubai Metro. Bunk beds in every room, so you get one per guest. I was there for 10 days & I wish the staff had changed the linen at least once during my stay. All and all a decent spot for short visits. 

This place is like 7 mins away from dubai internet metro station, it has a wonderful breakfast,with wonderful working staff,very respectful on on every level, and wonderful enviroment, clean, with netflix TV and shisha, defenitly is the place to stay for enhanced experience in dubai.

This hostel gave me the "athithi devo bhava" feeling meaning 'Be one for whom the guest is God'. When I entered, the managers were so kind. They checked me in explained all the facilities. Every time I need something they were constantly there to help. The building has gum & pool facilities too which was exciting. I met guests from all around the world and everyone was so friendly and made me feel at home. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff always kept the best hygiene. My roommates and I became instant buds. We went to the beaches together with guests from the hostel. Enjoyed the safari as well. I was surprised about the ladies night deals in Dubai and my new friends and I enjoyed it so much. 
Made so many new friends and memories for a lifetime.

Very comfortable stay.

Awesome little spot

This was the first hostel I had ever visited. I was expecting the worst i.e. beds riddled with bedbugs, dirty toilets/showers, noisy dorms etc. 

I was pleasantly surprised. The hostel was split across a number of rooms on the first floor of the tower. There were a number of dorms and a common area. 

Each dorm was organised into single capsules. The beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains. Each capsule had a charging station and a night light. 

The common room was in a different room. It had a well-equipped kitchen, sufficient seating area and a balcony. The breakfast on offer each day was plentiful but cost 20 AED (£5) each day. 

The greatest thing about the hostel was the people. The staff working there were friendly and helpful. They assisted me in organising tours and providing directions. They were always around for a nice chat. The people staying at the hostel were great too. On the first night, I made friends that I still talk to now.

The only negative thing I have to say is the bath tub in the shared toilets needed a regular clean. It's not such a big deal if you have flip flops though.

All in all, Backpacker 16 was great and I would definitely visit again if ever in Dubai!

My stay at Backpacker 16 - a hit!

We stayed 3 nights in a mixed 8-bed dorm. Dorm and bathroom were very clean and we had access to private cooking area & fridge. 
Free tea, coffee and juice in the common room. The included breakfast was lovely! Very friendly staff as well.
Conveniently located about 7min walk from metro station Internet City.

Nice hostel for people on a budget 

BackPacker 16 Hostel is a great place to stay if you're on a budget in Dubai. For $24 a night (unfortunately the cheapest accommodation I could find anywhere in the city), you'll stay in a room with five other guests - most of the beds have their own outlet and lights, and black-out curtains for each bed. This set-up gives you a good amount of privacy, which is key when you're sharing a room with strangers. The hostel is actually made up of an entire floor of an apartment building, with different apartments on the floor filled with one or two rooms of beds. The breakfast in the morning is decent, and it's a good place to meet people from all over the world.

Good hostel for a budget trip to Dubai

This Hostel was great! I slept in the girls dorm. Bed was sooo comfortable and private and nice blanket. You can use the kitchen. You can use a gym and Pool. 
And wow, the breakfast is incredible, soooo many nice things. But the best is the stuff, they are so friendly and helpful with every question. Got a free ride to the airport without asking, thank you a lot again. Great stay!! 🌻
