We happened upon Shovkova Kosucya when the hotel we'd planned to stay at turned out to be inadequate. The hostess (proprietress?) is delightful. Our room overlooks the mountains and we hear the roar of the River Prut when the door/window is open. The bed is hard, but otherwise, the room is very nice. There is a small table with chairs and the bathroom is clean. Breakfast, which is included, is excellent. We were given ham and cheese omelettes, bread, delicious crepes, and tea or coffee. The hotel offers a special wood-heated outdoor hot tub, which we have not yet tried. It is possible to order dinner here, or to go to the nearby (2 min walk) Vedmeza Hora for dinner, drinks, and live music. The river and trails are 5 minutes away, as is a small outdoor market. There is a playground for children.
