It was an increíble experience and staying in this hotel made it even better. The staff was really nice, our butler Silver was amazing, the food was good, the rooms were very nice and clean and it was very close to the forest. I recommend it 100%. 

Absolute heaven. From Susan’s (sp) lovely songs waking me up with coffee in the morning to our shoes being washed after our visit to the Batwa village we were pampered. Great food, classic rooms and very attentive service made it a great stay. And the drinks were good too. Im usually a hard marker but they were exceeded my expectations. 

Absolutely wonderful - the room was spacious, comfortable and had lots of character. The views of the impenetrable forest were awe-inspiring. The staff were incredibly helpful, making themselves available whenever needed. I enjoyed the river walk and the tea demonstration (both available on site) . I had a divine massage in the spa - which I highly recommend. And the food was delicious!

Visiting Bwindi was an incredible experience. Silver, Tony and his team were incredible, kind, funny people who took great care of everything. The lodge is beautiful and we saw gorillas roaming the property both days we were there. The massage and sauna was a perfect end to the days and the food was some of the best we’ve eaten (coming from NYC). Fresh, healthy and delicious. The chef made special accommodations for us as we are gluten and dairy free. Even a special whole cake for us at the end for our honeymoon. I can’t say enough good things about this place and everyone there. All the stars.

Bwindi Lodge is a remarkable place to visit.  The environment is beautiful and the staff are wonderful.  Silver definitely went above and beyond to make our stay special including assisting my husband up to the hills when his knees weren't up to the climb.  Buhomo village and the Ride4AWoman were additional highlights to the our Mountain Gorilla experiences.  Thank you TrueAfrica for planning this one for us

This place is unbelievable!!! Right on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The views were amazing, and we were told that the gorillas were on the property the morning we arrived. Our room was gorgeous with wine and snacks waiting for us in our room every day. The food was delicious and the staff bent over backwards to attend to our every need. Each day when we returned from our Gorilla trekking adventures a cocktail was waiting for us and they cleaned our boots. The location was perfect, a quick 5 min drive from the Park entrance. We had two days of Gorilla trekking which words can not even describe, life changing moments. I can not even believe how close we got to these amazing gentle giants. We ended our stay with an incredible massage with the sounds of the jungle birds, African drums and singing from the nearby village. Perfect.

Stunningly beautiful and peaceful is how I would describe this property.  From the moment you arrive you are immediately struck by the tranquility and the beauty.  

Barbara was our Butler and she was phenomenal.  There was nothing she didn't do for us.  We were treated like royalty.  We didn't even have to ask - she anticipated our needs and spoiled us rotten.  It was as though we were the only guests in the lodge.  

Our lodge was to die for.  Massive main area with a huge king-sized bed, fireplace and sitting area as well as a stunning bathroom with a massive walk in shower.  Each night, Barbara would prepare a fire for us so that when we arrived back after dinner our room would be lovely and warm.

Lawrence and Simon worked in the dining area and were absolutely wonderful.  The food was out of this world and on numerous occasions, asked the lovely staff to personally thank the Chef who on one occasion, came out to greet us and thank us.  Very talented women who prepared high end meals.

On numerous occasions we had the pleasure of speaking with Ester and Nikki who were the Managers of this stunning lodge.  Incredibly kind and gracious is how I would describe them both and always working hard to ensure that all guests were taken care of.  

Our gorilla trek was beyond anything I could describe.  While I quickly realized I was not nearly as fit as the other people within our trek group, the porters stayed with me and assisted me in making the journey to the top.  I could not keep up with the pace of the group but instead, went at my own pace.  I am very proud to say that I arrived at the gorilla sighting only 7 minutes after the other members of the group that went ahead and upon arrival was greeted with a high-five by the female head tracker.  We spent approximately 50 minutes observing a family of gorillas that consisted of one massive silverback male, two females and about 4 babies.  All of us were silenced by the incredibly opportunity before us.  There are no words to describe such a sight and I was able to take numerous photos of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.  Upon our return to the loge after a very long and exhausting day of trekking, Barbara greeted us with a cocktail and gave us a massage to help with our muscles that would no doubt be very sore the following day.

As a final note, we informed Barbara (Babbs) that our son had died in 2013 and that both my husband and I wear orange wristbands in his memory.  We asked if we could leave behind an orange wristband which we did but in addition, Barbara offered to wear one, even asking for an additional band for her friend.  My husband and I were moved beyond words at their kindness.

Bwindi Lodge is truly out of this world, enhanced only by the incredible people that bring it to life.  Thank you to everyone at Bwindi for such an amazing experience and for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

My stay at Bwindi Lodge was magical from beginning to end. When you arrive, you are given a personal butler, but I quickly looked at Suzanne as a little sister and friend. As a solo traveler, I really wanted a place for quiet time as well as activities and this was a perfect blend. The bungalow's are set apart from each other, so you feel as if you're alone in the jungle. I did have a family of baboons that made a visit while I was sitting outside, which nearly gave me a heart attack, but I will always have a great story to tell! My bungalow was huge and stunning inside. Every night they come and turn down your bed with a hot water bottle and coal for your fireplace. I'm a vegetarian and they really accommodated my dietary needs. I also had a wonderful massage that was much needed after a few days of gorilla trekking. Peter was my amazing guide and also arranged for a Pygmy village visit. I could go on and on about how special the staff were but you have to experience it yourself to fully understand. Thank you to Suzanne, Peter, Allen and Tony for your hospitality. I made new friends and can't wait to return. 

Fabulous hotel with personal butler. Great food. Close to the Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla trekking. Ask for Suzan as butler. Massages are included. Next to a tea plantation. Rooms are luxurious and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. You feel like you are living in the jungle. Beautiful hotel lounge and viewing areas.

Stayed here with friends on a trip to Uganda for Gorilla trekking. Besides the great location overlooking the home to the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi, the lodge its self is a great definition of luxury. From amazing services, great food and friendly staff, great meals, very well organized and great attention to details for all visitors staying here. Its truly amazing  and best wishes to all staffs.
