Before I begin, I must say that I'm not typically a complainer about hotel stays.  But I had to inform my fellow Tripadvisor passengers about this one.

Booked a 1 night stay via Hotwire.  Yes, this was a blind reservation with Hotwire.  However, the features in the listing were not honored for this stay.

The day before our arrival, we drove by the "apart-hotel" office to see the property and a typical unit.  At nearly 430pm, there was no one there and the office door was locked.  Apparently, a real estate company downtown manages these units in addition to other properties in Providenciales.

From the outside of the neighboring multi story condo building, we thought we'd be placed in the facility near the apar-hotel office.  We didn't feel comfortable, since the grounds were very messy and the location was in the middle of no-where.  When we contacted Hotwire, they said nothing else was available during the holiday week and we should stay to ensure we had a place to sleep.  They assured us that they would take care of us after our stay.

Well, check-in was at 4pm the following day and no-one was at the "apart-hotel" office at 4 or even 415pm.  When we returned closer to 430pm, the office was open and I approached two women to check in.  I was immediately told that there was an issue and the unit that we were supposed to get didn't have air conditioning as of that morning.  No one could fix it on such short notice.  But they still wanted to show it to us.

We paid for a condo style unit with golf course views, beds for 3 people and air conditioning.

Well, the building we had thought would be the one, was not.  Instead, they took us to a multi-family house in a wooded area not at the golf course at all.  And there were no views either.

The first unit she showed us didn't have air and they offered to open windows for us.  We said no and they proceeded to show us a 2nd unit that had air, but no bed for my teenage son.  They offered to make up the couch for him.  Again, we said no.

Finally, they showed us a 3rd unit in building 7.  Air worked and there was a sofa bed.  We did't pay $350/night for a room with a sofa bed, but we had no choice.  We also remembered that Hotwire promised to take care of us following our trip.  The ladies also subsequently made up the sofa bed with a mattress from the other room to make it more comfortable for my son (thus, the reason I provided 2 stars for customer service).

WiFi Worked fine, as advertised.  But the TV didn't since they didn't provide us with an HDMI cable.

Shortly after they left, the room really began to smell of cigarette smoke.  This was supposed to be a smoke free experience.  Apparently, someone next door must have smoked and they sprayed disinfectant around to minimize the order when they showed us the unit for our approval.

Finally, there was no smoke detector in apartment 7D. The only detector we found was unattached and non-working inside the entrance to the multi-family building.

We suffered through the evening (see photos) and contacted Hotwire right after check in and once we returned.  They would do nothing except offer us a small credit of $25 for a future stay.

I will never use HotWire and most importantly, never stay at Carib Club again.

A disaster from the Beginning - Stay Away from Carib Club

Stayed 1 night at USD $142 (including all taxes and $45 cleaning fee). $40 taxi from airport. This is essentially a room and ensuite bathroom in an apartment with owner living on second level. Shared kitchen. Balcony out the back. Building had lift. No issues with room or Wifi and this was the cheapest by far I could find in Provo. Modern apartment. Location makes it very tough however if you do not have your own transport (5 min drive or 1 hour walk to Grace Bay). Only food option is to order in delivery. Owner dropped me into Grace Bay the next day which was appreciated. Clean and comfortable option but own transport required in my view if you elect to stay here.

The hotel was really good. The hostess was really nice and helped us out at the island. Very clean and nice room with all the facilities needed. Good kitchen. It's a very valuable place to stay compared to many other places around grace bay.The location is a bit "off" though so a car or bike is highly recommended.

Nice clean hotel, recommended!

I am a business traveler.  Stayed in many resort hotels in Provo.   The Carib is very clean, quiet and isolated from the sounds and light from the busy Grace Bay area. Located on Leeward Highway near the Leeward end.   But only a few short minutes via car to heart of Grace Bay.   While not a resort - the accommodations were very suitable for my business travel.    The staff was very pleasant and friendly and the two room suite was ideal for two travelers.

Good Stay

This is an efficiency with a makeshift kitchen (plug in burner, microwave and mini fridge).  Excellent choice for the efficient traveler (single or couple).  We spent 7 days on the island and this was the perfect base camp for day trips to the remote beaches on the North and Northwest ends of the island. No frills. Close to what you need.If your here for the shopping and resort amenities this is not the place for you.  If your looking for safe, clean and affordable place to sleep and shower in between excursions this is the best option on the island.

Clean and tidy efficiency

TERRIBLE SMELL!!!! NOT A PLACE TO RETURN TO!!! THE WORST STAY EVER!!!We were placed in the building 7 apartment B. The property had garbage all around it. Our room was dusty, dirty and the dresser drawers had old internet equipment. The small refrigerator and TV probably were manufactured in 1950. The refrigerator made so loud noise that we couldn’t sleep at night. TV worked only the first 2 days. However the worst was the SMELL in this room. It smells like ammonia. We tried to eliminate this smell by opening windows and the door, and turn on the AC at the same time, however it was coming back. We were told that it will be extra charge if we will use AC more than 8 hours per day, and we turn it off when we were leaving the room. The manager Deyon is nice lady and she tried to help us. She arranged extra cleaning for our room after 4 days, however this smell came back on the next day. We had to spend about $60 on the aroma candles. Unfortunately, we paid through hotels.com in full and couldn’t move to different place. Don’t book this place, go somewhere else.

Spacious house, good for a family of 4 or 5, but not close to the beach - about 15 min by car from the beach.  If you stay here, will need a rental car.  AC works fine in two rooms, but not in the other two rooms, one of which is a loft.  Staff helpful, when available.

Grace is a nice lady that took care of us! She welcomed us by email before we arrived. Because of the funeral she had us stay in the apartment close to the office. She is a great lady that takes care of her visitors to Club Caribe. It's not a hotel people need to realize this. It's an apartment that you maintain and for the money you can't go wrong!

The biggest disappointment in this hotel is the management. We were not welcomed, and were repeatedly told that we had paid too little for the room through Expedia. The hotel was not ready for guests. The rooms did not have working tvs, phones, lights, and doorknobs had to be put in when we checked in. We had booked a two bedroom and instead were given one bed and a fold out couch. The hotel is far from town and with no phones, it was difficult to arrange transportation or tours. The staff was not friendly or accommodating. One of our rooms did not have bathroom lights, any window coverings, and one of the bathrooms had loose pipes just sitting on the floor. The girl that had just started working there was very apologetic, but did not know what to do.

Disappointing

Room was very nice and clean. Manager was super friendly and on the spot when we needed him. Ok, you will need a car, but with the price per night you can afford one!
