I didn't want to stay at a regular beach resort when visiting Turks & Caicos.  I opted for this Botanical Resort and it did not disappoint.  My daughter and I loved the individual cottages.  Our host Wenie was awesome and always there to assist us in our needs.  Our server Ruth served the absolute best Rum Punch and White Russian cocktails.  We truly did not have to leave the resort if we chose not too because it was so relaxing.  Next time I will utilize the onsite spa services.

Off the beaten path for a great TCI vacay!

Pros:

Friendly Staff: The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay pleasant.
Quiet Location: Secluded from the bustling beach crowds, the hotel offers tranquility.

Cons:

Distance from the Beach: Unfortunately, Seaside Retreat is quite far from the beach. If you’re seeking oceanfront views, this might not be the ideal choice.
Pricey: The rates are on the higher side, considering the distance from the beach.
Monday Food Dilemma: Be prepared! The hotel doesn’t serve food on Mondays. Plan accordingly.
Compact Rooms: The rooms are cozy, which could be a challenge if you prefer more spacious accommodations.
Tiny Bathrooms: The bathrooms are exceptionally small—perhaps too snug for comfort.
Overall Impression: Seaside Retreat strikes a balance between friendly service and location trade-offs. If you value peace and don’t mind the beach being a drive away, this hotel might suit your needs. Just remember to rent a car for convenient exploration!

Will not take it next time

This has to be the best villa on the island. I am solo traveler. These are the things I love about Kokomo. First you are greeted with love and it is genuine. The villas are spacious and clean. You have a prepaid cellphone in the room. This is to help you communicate on the island so you are not stranded. The phone has the number of everyone you may need to contact. They also have a list of drivers that can transport you. After 9:00 pm any taxi that is not on the list of drivers cannot enter the premises. Which is an extremely great thing if you gonna out clubbing and returning late. Every staff member knows your name. They have transportation to the beach. Grocery stores and atm are in walking distance. Ms. Weenie goes above and beyond. She speaks every time she see you. That may not be a lot to some people but it is definitely something I appreciate. The food is good and the drinks even better. I never stay anywhere else when I come to Turks and Caicos. I truly appreciate and love this villa and staff. Thank you for always keeping me safe as a solo traveler.

My wife and I spent two sun-drenched weeks in February 2024 in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI). We stayed at the Kokomo Botanical Resort, centrally located in Providenciales. Quick bottom line – it worked out well!
  
The Kokomo resort appears to have been remodeled from an earlier property. Our space had two bedrooms, a tiny-but-functional kitchen, and a tiny-but-functional bathroom. Not exactly luxurious, but if THAT’S what you’re looking for, you will pay dearly in TCI, a VERY expensive destination. Kokomo offers pleasant spaces at affordable prices.

Our rooms could have used some more light, but, hey, the AC worked great, and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day. Wenie, the head concierge, responded quickly if we had a question.

Kokomo’s restaurant, WE Market Café, was surprisingly good. I’m a vegetarian, and eating anywhere can be a challenge, but I had plenty of choices at WE – and our meals there were some of the best on our entire trip! When we went for just drinks at WE, the beer was always COLD! Chris was often our drinks server and always a pleasure chat with.

Gabriella, the charming manager of the Kokomo property, is the epitome of a “working manager!” She welcomed us at check-in, but during our stay, I saw her unloading trucks, carrying boxes, you name it.

Unless you want to spend truly big bucks when visiting TCI, Kokomo’s space/cost tradeoffs are hard to beat!

Pleasant Hotel in a Central Location

First trip to Turks and this place didn’t disappoint!!! The atmosphere, staff, food and surrounding areas were all amazing! Their private beach access, though not beachfront they provide daily shuttles to their reserved beach area. They provide a trusted circle of activities/taxis and onsite spa.  It’s perfect for relaxing and not too far from the island festivities if that’s what you desire. Everyone was very thoughtful and accommodating while I was there to celebrate my birthday. I recommend everyone to visit. I am already looking forward to my return. Not one single bad experience during the stay.

Simply beautiful!!!

Beautiful spot with a nicely laid out small space for a family of four. The grounds are lovely and the pool and hot tub are relaxing. The only downside is the location -- need to drive (either in a taxi, the shuttle, or a rental car) to get to restaurants (other than the one resort restaurant) and beaches. But it's all super close so that's not that big of a deal. Everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful, especially Wenie.

This will continue to be my go to resort when I visit TCI.  Everyone was VERY accommodating and you truly feel at home. Wenie and Ruthsre excellent ambassadors for the property! Very intimate and natural beauty!

This was our second time staying her because the first time we had such a great experience even tho the restaurant was shut down the first time we went which was 2 years ago. This time everything was fully open but they still didn’t update anything in the house like the shower head which sprayed the water straight out so the bathroom would be soaked and the only way to shower was by putting the shower head in the corner making it very uncomfortable. That was my own fault cause I knew it was like that 2 years ago but I assumed it would be fixed since it’s a very simple thing to change. The real issue I have was that I booked 2 adults but last minute I had 2 other adults joining me which shouldn’t be an issue because it’s a 2 bedroom cottage which sleeps 4 adults but when we got there they charged us $600 extra plus $100 more than what my Expedia account said I owed and they said “because I have a membership with Expedia I got a discount” but I still had to pay the resort price which I thought was very shady. I understand paying extra for adults if you need extra accommodations or if something was included but we paid for the 2 bedroom and nothing was included like breakfast or resort excursions or resort amenities beside the pool so I’m very confused and frustrated as to why and what I was paying $600 extra??As returning customers I was very disappointed because they didn’t even try to help us and in the end it was not worth the money I paid for. Never again.

Great place, staff wonderful great price and clean rooms. They could have more on site to do but other than that. It was great
