fabulous scenic lake aramder church.....hotel was very good food and room....the mountains capped by snow all around the crystal clear waters the boat trip to get the the food was awesome too...wot aday trip to remember

I picked this hotel because of ıts location, clean rooms and price. Everytime ı visit Van, ı stay at büyük Urartu hotel. By the way, hotel employees very helpfull and friendly. Try this hotel, you wont regret it.

Here you find a wonderful manager, helpful for everything. We had two days and he made them very interesting. We enjoyed the kurdish-turkish hospitallity and generosity. The room and breakfast is fine. He organized a very good taxi-driver, hamdi. You can trust him.

We spent 2 nights hare as part of a tour of eastern Turkey, and it was probably the best hotel of the tour. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but our stay did have a rather bizarre start. Firstly, there was no water due to it being cut off in the street due to a burst pipe. It came back on 1/2 hour later, only for there to be a 5 minute power cut! Ghat was restored only for the TV to cut out! However, we had a really good meal on both evenings.

I recently had the pleasure of spending the best part of 2 weeks at the Buyuk Urartu hotel in Van, Eastern Turkey. 

The hotel is rather splendid with a comforting historic feel about it. It has comfortable and spacious rooms very well tended and clean. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant is  worth trying for an evening meal if you prefer to eat in. 

The stars of the show are the staff they are really helpful and willing, nothing is too much trouble. The manager in particular is most worthy of the highest praise. 

If you are going to visit Van, you would miss out on so much if you did not, since there is so much to see and do in this very vibrant and alive city bursting with history and culture,  I for one will definitely be returning with my wife and family and staying at this hotel that offers you excellent value for money and it is well located to get about the city. 

Thank you for making my visit so memorable, I even got the chance to visit a couple of weddings for which the hotel is famous for hosting.

At first refrigerator didn't work، they changed it after 1 day
In whole of our residence, we just had warm shower for once and other time the water was totally cold.
the location is not near the main street and has 1.5 km far away from AVM.
The hygienics in room and toilet was awful.
the breakfast was simple and didn't charge everyday.

this hotel doesn't have minimum Essentials

Never ever try this hotel at all , urartu hotel have very dirty rooms and also rude staff , i read  many compliment about this hotel ,and i guess their own staff fill it , unfortunatly i booked  this hotel for two days , i never seen such as dirty hotel in my life. I check it out , and they never pay the money back , they said that it ' unrefoundble .

يك طبقه رو تعمير كردن و عكس هاش رو گذاشتن توي سايت
بقيه اطاق ها فاجعه بودن
پرسنل پذيرش خيلي بي مسوليت و بي ادب بودن
اينترنت نداشتن اتاق ها 
پول اتاق ٣ تخته رو از ما گرفتن و اتاق ٢ تخته با يه تخت فلزي داغون اضافه كرده بودن
صابون مايع نداشت اتاق
٣ تا سشوار واسه ما عوض كردن ٣ تاش خراب بود
خلاصه كه به هيچ عنوان توصيه نميكنم
صفر ستاره ميدم

Very very rude manager.he wanted to beat a passenger!!!!!!!!
No hot water for 5 days!!!!!
İt was terrible in everything.
