We spent four very happy days at Antik Hotel, the guests of the perfect hosts Meral and Omer Ayhan, who made us feel truly at home. The location, within the walls of a small fort by a fishing port and marina, is very picturesque and convenient (everywhere in the small town is walkable; restaurants serve fresh fish, plenty of outdoor tea houses and places for a snack and a drink). Sigacik, the coastal district of Seferihisar (one of 9 "Cittaslow" in Turkey) is an ideal base to tour the region, close to Izmir and its airport, the resorts of Cesme and Alacati in the north and Ephesus, Sirince, Selcuk, Kusadasi, etc in the south. The hotel is small and intimate, in keeping with its location; the internal garden and veranda are excellent for breakfast, home cooked meals (on demand) and just relaxing. Again, the hosts, treating us like house guests, make the real difference. For us it was a memorable stay.
