Gokcen Hotel & Apartments

We've just returned from a 7 night stay at Gokcen. Completely blown away by how nice all the staff are. The cleanliness of the rooms, bar, pool, grounds....everywhere! All the staff genuinely take an interest and go the extra mile. When we arrived, one of our luggage cases was mistakenly taken by someone else at the airport. It was soon established they were not on a package holiday and flight only. This obviously causes the panic that you hope never to happen. Having gone through the motions at the airport and, in turn, delaying our transfer coach (sorry to those who wondered where we were if you read this). Jet 2 was very good in the circumstances and got the ball rolling to resolve the issue. Having got onto the coach, we arrived at Gokcen at about 1am. The staff greeting us were very nice and immediately felt welcomed even at that hour. In the morning we spoke with the owner - Ozlem, she already knew about our luggage situation (which we thought was amazing as this was all overnight between around midnight and 9am) and she had already been in contact with Jet 2/airport lost and found, and all had been sorted with my luggage and could expect it at the hotel in a few hours! We were so impressed with Ozlem (and throughout our stay) that we couldn't thank her enough. It also meant we could all have a laugh at me temporarily having to wear my wife's shorts and sparkly flip-flops! I drew the line at using her swimsuit! The whole situation being sorted was one of many examples, minor or major of how nothing is too much trouble to make sure your stay at Gokcen is so pleasurable. Gokcen has a cabinet of items such as sun tan lotions, after sun, shampoos, etc. purposely left to be recycled by previous guests and this came in handy, especially as these types of items were in our missing luggage case, so a really good idea and we too, left some of our items there, should someone else find themselves in a similar predicament or simply running out during their holiday. Throughout the 7 night stay, nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff, especially Erol and Kaan, who would take the time to chat with you despite being very busy on occasion. Our room was cleaned daily, beds made up/changed, fresh towels in abundance. We didn't get the lady's name that cleaned our room, but she was always so nice and full of smiles each and every day. We ate dinner and lunch snacks at the hotel, the food at the hotel was fabulous, and all reasonably priced, too. There's a taxi button right outside the hotel, the taxi arrives within a few minutes and it is an easy way to start wherever it is you want to go. We ventured off to Hisaronu, Fethiye, and Oludeniz. Many a restaurant at each location and although very nice food, Gokcen's food for us, had that something extra. The process for the restaurant and bar payments was so easy as they ran a tab against your room number, and we simply paid up each morning after breakfast. On the note of breakfast, that too was in abundance for choice and fresh every day. We're already looking at booking next year's holiday at Gokcen, hoping it will be longer than 7 days. Thank you again for all you did and everything else to make our stay so nice. You've left a long-lasting impression on us from our time with you all at Gokcen. Andy, Clare, and Hollie.
