Haci Abdullahlar Konagi

We stayed at this hotel just one night during our short trip to Abant Lake. Mudurnu is a nice and warm little town, with a number of well-preserved Ottoman Empire period houses. There are some restaurants, an internet-point (ask to the local people because it is in an inner street), some shops and a good little place for toasts, run by a young guy very curious about tourists. Haci Abdullahlar Konagi has simple and elegant ottoman rooms with large windows, carpets, wooden floor, bathroom and tv. After the usual bargain we agreed for 70 try for night, breakfast included. Nice bedroom and good price (breakfast so and so...and a bit late), but the most remarkable thing was the kindness of the man who run the hotel. With several phone calls he helped us a lot to solve a problem with our rent-a-car in Istanbul who spoke only Turkish. He also called some hotels in Istanbul in order to find us a good room during the crowdy Ramazan Bayrami. And he didn't apply any surcharge for this. Really customer oriented!
