Munamar Beach Residence

For our eighth visit to beautiful Icmeler we stayed in the Munamar Beach Residence for the first time. This lovely, clean, modern 70 room hotel stands next to the much larger Munamar Beach hotel which closed in July 2017 and is unlikely to open again in the near future. The Munamar Beach Residence used to be the annexe to the bigger hotel and guests would take meals at the larger hotel but the Munamar Beach Residence has undergone a renovation programme and it now boasts an indoor and outdoor eating area, kitchens and a clean modern area where buffet meals are served on an all inclusive basis. The food was continental with a definite Mediterranean flavour and was always beautifully cooked. There was always a good choice with interesting menus which did not include chips or French fries during our stay ! The presentation was really good, the hotel has a facebook page with lots of photos to view. We like the buffet style because we can choose and try different menus and take as much or as little as necessary. There was always empty plates with us !! It makes a big difference to us knowing that bottled water, local wine, beer etc. are paid for in advance as part of the all inclusive package. All the public areas and bedrooms have tiled floors. The bedrooms have air conditioning, a safe and a balcony. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and hard working. The ground floor decor is soothing and relaxing with the use of tastefully blended pastel shades. The two lifts were excellent covering the five floors. The Munamar Beach Residence has a minimum age limit of 14 years. To avoid any further confusion, close by is the Club Munamar Beach Resort which caters for all ages.
