Club Aquarium

2 ads 1 x 17yo 1 x 15yo. Travelled with another family. 9 nights. What a gem of a place. Had a lovely time. Not too crowded, very chilled environment. Immaculately clean. 2 pool areas to choose from. Cons. *A/c is payable and we knew this before we went. What jet 2 failed to tell us that you have to pay for each room. So we paid for air con in the bedroom and in the lounge. £55 per week I think. £35 for one room but we felt was needed in both due to the extreme heat. When the balcony door is open the A/C clicks off in the lounge. Saves energy. *Its a self catering complex but you aren't able to take your own drinks by the pool. The pool and snack bar very reasonable, drinks ice cold and what food we had was absolutely fine. You load your room card with payment and present your key card each time you pay so no cash around the pool, bar area etc. Works well. Checked the bill lots of times and zero mistakes. Staff trustworthy. *if the lounge is needed for extra beds then the rooms are very cramped. It means sitting on the beds for the duration of the stay as the sofa is obviously used for the beds. So can feel a little cramped. 😕 *hob very slow. No toaster (as we were advised prior) but this would have come in handy for breakfasts and quick lunches. *small windey staircase so for people who cannot walk so well may be an issue but not for us. Pros Rooms are beautiful and functional but a little on the small side if family of 4. Showers great. Immaculately clean. Fresh towels and bedding all the time. All balconies look over the pool and if lucky over to the sea. We're were on the top floor. Small things such as a mirror in the bedrooms and maybe some hooks near the door to hang bags etc would be helpful. Bigger cups for a nice brew would also be good. Like I small things! Staff friendly. EDDIE very accommodating. Sally the manager remembered your name and checked in with you when she saw you. Nice clean room on check out day to use. Towels available here also. A big help if you don't want to pay to keep room on. Pool areas nice and clean. Floor v hot. Sunbeds comfy. The first few days had no issues getting a sun bed but after that the usual towel brigade were out early doors reserving spots. Some towels down early but people not coming up down til the afternoon. Witnessed one couple put towels down, come back from wherever in the afternoon to grab their towels and move them to a 'better' bed... strange us Brits at times... there's a big bucket of pool toys to share in the pool and a nice pool shower. We did the BBQ and pool party night. Food was great, plenty of it, entertainment great and the kids loved the pool party at the night time. Good fun. There's an onsite shop. Nice chill out areas by the shop. Air conditioned restaurant with chill out sofa and TV. Dart board and library area. Clean loos by the pool. Is on a slight hill. Few bars a few mins away. More into town 20 mins walk maybe 30 mins to the beach. I would highly recommend this place. I will be returning. I never went to the Grand Aquarium 😕 didn't need to as loved the chilled vibe at the Club.
