Aurasia Beach Hotel

We stayed here the end of August into the start of September and it was a lovely stay! Here are the pros: When we arrived we were greeted by friendly reception staff who gave us all our info alongside wrist bands that give you access to 10% off anything purchased in the hotel. The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the beach front, a 2min walk away from the water park and just a short walk from the blue port mall. If you want to go to the harbour or the grand bazar it’s only a 30min walk or a taxi costs 350tl which we didn’t find too bad at all. The hotel has an amazing beach area where you are served both drinks and food with your discount if you bring the wrist bands. The hotel even offers a beach towel service, you get a towel card from reception, you take it to the friendly guy out front who will trade the cards for a towel, at the end of the day you will return the towel and get your card back ready for fresh ones the next day. There is a red card/green card system for cleaning everyday. The cleaners are great, they will even bring you 2x 500ml bottles of water everyday free of charge. The hotel does offer room service, not that we used this but it’s nice to have. Now for the negatives: The pool area is honestly not great at all. Very small and underwhelming. No one hardly uses it so it is very quiet, no pool bar no music etc and doesn’t get sun all day due to the high buildings around. However this isn’t a big issue if you are happy with this quieter space or want to use the beach as the beach is amazing. We booked bed and breakfast, breakfast finishes at 10:30 so we woke up one morning and were very disappointed. It was a Turkish style buffet breakfast which is understandable but nothing there that me or my boyfriend would eat so we left and never returned. The nice friendly guy I mentioned out front earlier will try to sell you a Turkish spa. Honestly it wasn’t bad but we thought it was going to be £20 each, but after being inside he told us he would do a bronzing package for us, which ended up costing £100 in total. It was still a nice experience and would recommend but definitely not worth £100. Other than that it was an amazing stay would highly recommend. These were just the small negatives we noticed and thought they would be useful to share, but they wouldn’t put us off returning! Small tip: the Kebab shop over the road is actually really good, don’t be put off by how it looks haha. Also the ATMs by the hotel charge a fortune, if you keep going down the road to the migros shop there are ATMs there with a lower fee.
