Asilzade Hotel

We arrived in Malatya after a nine-hour drive from Kars. We couldn't find any of the hotels mentioned in our guides (Malatya isn't big on street signs). We found ourselves in front of the Asilzade and decided to give it a try. The owner speaks a little English and offered us a big suite for 150 TL which was ideal for us. Rooms are large and clean, decor a bit erratic but everything works. Good breakfast on the huge roof terrace with its outdoor sitting room. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us every assistance. This hotel is on the other side of the central boulevard from the other hotels around the central mosque - the area is central but quiet.
