Sultanahmet Nu Hotel

The hotel was set in the perfect location. Just a few minutes walk away from the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and in an area packed with a huge variety of eating places. Despite this it was very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean, the shower was spacious and efficient and we were fortunate to have a wonderful view from our window of the Sea of Marmara. It's worth paying for breakfast to see the view from the rooftop terrace (we did this one day only). The staff were all very helpful - we had forgotten our two pin plug adapter and were lent one for our three day stay and they also helped with any questions we had. Highly recommend the airport transfer taxi service which they organised and which worked very smoothly for both our pickup and return (and was a set price so you knew what you would be paying for) and the hotel looked after our cases on our last day which meant we had more time to look around unencumbered before finally leaving. Our first time in Istanbul and we certainly hope to return.
