Rapunzel

I stayed in the big girls rooms (3 bunk beds) with two of my friends in December during our visit to Istanbul. The hostel is located quite good to visit the most popular places in Istanbul, but not in that way that there is a lot of noise. It is very close to Galata tower and the surrounding nice restaurants and shops. When we were there, the room wasn't full and we had good room mates, which made it a very quiet and calm relaxing stay. It might be different depending on who is staying there with you, ofcourse. The beds were basic but good. Each person has his/her own locker which is a little on the small side, so it might be good to also have a lock on your suitcase so that you could put stuff there as well. The bathroom is clean and spacey enough. The door didn't close that well though, but if you pulled hard enough it was ok. The hostel offers a free breakfast which is made up out of cereals, bread, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, jam, cookies, coffee and tea. You can eat as much as you want. Also they offer free tea and coffee during the day, which is very nice. The hostel has also a roof terrace with a beautiful view. Because of this we didn't even bother to climb the galatatower (and wait in a huge line to do so) as we were already very happy with a similar view at our hostel. Also the staff is really nice. They help you as much as they can and will answer every question to the best of their knowledge. The price/quality was very good, I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone thinking of paying Istanbul a visit!
