Med Cezir Hotel

If you go to Istanbul, we think this is a perfect place to stay. It is located between two of the main Mosques, it has a homely atmosphere, and it is not expensive. One of the things which impressed us more was the personal kindness. We booked due to personal recommendation and with a phone call (!! that's trust, old style). The place is little, simple, and maintained with care and love. After climbing the narrow staircase, we found that our room in the fourth floor was had really an impressing view, directly on the Blue Mosque. The next morning we had a typical breakfast looking at the Hagia Sofia, also aprox 300m away. As breakfastlover I learned a for me new option of elements for breakfast :) The next days most of our points of interest were just a stroll away. The manager, Azat, was absolutely kind and attentive. The last day we had problems to get in time to the train station for our night train to Sophia-Bucharest. He ordered a taxi, but we could not pay it with card and had not enough cash. So he personally ran with us to the tram, and even completed the ticket so we could take it! We are grateful that he helped us to continue our travel, for the kindness of all the team of the hotel, and happy to enjoy that cosy place. We absolutely wish to come back to Istanbul, and this hotel is one of the reasons. We found, although our reduced budget, the perfect place to stay in this fascinating city, and we certainly recommend it from heart.
