clean, centrally located -near the spice bazaar and galata bridge- very good price, and confortable accommodation. price is negotiable if making reservation directly instead of through "booking". the neigbourhood is not chic at all, local people with local shops and local prices!

basic but good!

I spend three days in Karslioglu Hotel in beautiful Stambul. Place is located near the old town,you can feel the climate of old times here.Amazing view from the window!Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff.Thank you for time spend there!

Very good hotel

My trips go back to 2012-2013 and 2014. It was a very good price ratio. Very very good welcome. The employee does not speak English very well, but he does put his heart into it to understand and help! I had several rooms, with or without bathroom, always very clean.

That's great

The hotel is very convenient, close to the bazaar and the Ghatta, and I liked that the hotel is located in a place where there is no special crowds of tourists. The locals sit and drink tea in the streets in the evenings, this brings its charm. The hotel itself is small, the rooms are small, but it is suitable for two. Breakfast is right next to the reception, there are tables and chairs, quite tasty. There is a smooth board, a seat.

Cheap and convenient.

The hotel was polite, but the room itself wasn't very pleasant. I could smell the chicken, the toilet and the shower separately, the underwear was more or less normal. By the morning the room was getting cold (November) and I got cold, which is not often. Unfortunately, the impression from Istanbul was greasy. If you want to save and get to the metro station in 5 minutes, I hope this hotel for you will be more lucky with the heat.

Cheap hotel near the historic city center

I stayed two nights, one in a room without a bathroom and one in a suite. Both are very simple but clean and comfortable and with cable TV (Turkish channels only). The location is very central, close to the port and train station, so to get to Sultanahmed it's only to take the tram or walk about 15 minutes. The staff are very friendly and serve a satisfying breakfast.

Simple and cheap

The hotel is quite difficult to find from the first time, it is in a maze of narrow streets. A very colorful place, street vendors, beggars, women in hijabs, barefoot refugee children, dressing rooms, dining rooms for locals, very authentic and for the amateur. But we liked the opportunity to see the real Istanbul. There are only two beds and a stool and a chair in the room, not paying attention to whether there is air conditioning, in October it was not needed.

Hotel in a very authentic area

We had a good time at Hostel Karslioglu. Our room wasn't so big but when you see the price (including breaktfast) it was really, really good. Especially the staff was friendly and always tried to help us. We shared our bathroom with other people but it was ok, because the bathroom was clean as well. It takes some time to get to the main attractions but it's a nice walk until you get there.

Good and cheap hostel with FRIENDLY staff!

My husband and I spent three New Year's nights at this hotel - from December 29 to January 1. Apparently because of the dates the price was unparalleledly high for such an economy-hotel, but at the time of selection it was the most reasonable option in terms of price. For 120 euros we got 3 nights in a 10 sq.m room that only had two beds and one small tub, this shower-toilet shared for lunch and breakfast in the form of tea/coffee with a sandwich and boiled egg. But the room was warm (which is relevant for winter), clean, with hot water there were no problems and the internet worked very well. At an adequate low price it was a good option on a few hundred yards. But it's easy enough to get to the shower-toilet, but you can see a tourist lobby in the back of the street, where you can see a couple hundred and twenty-two square feet of tourist lobby, although you can't see a tourist lobby behind the city centre, and a tourist lobby in the back of the city centre.

A low-cost option on a colorful street.

The +: Very clean, very popular neighborhood but still very central, very nice staff the -: a little noisy until 11:00 p.m.
