Club Sun Village Apartments

First time in Turkey and hadn’t been self catering for over 20 years. A bad experience of all inclusive last year meant this was perfect for us. Amazing welcome with our cases took to our room. They seen my husbands crutch for his bad back and put us on ground floor, room 101, which was ideal. We could hop up to the pool from the balcony/terrace. We paid for aircon in both bedrooms which was excellent. Loads of hangers in the wardrobes and dressing table with socket near which was great. Bathroom was all new and had shower cubicle in and hairdryer. Beds a tad hard and sheets usual starchy white ones but we had fleecy blankets with us from the plane that we used for cosyness. There are 2 rings we used to boil eggs and noodles for snacks. Fridge was great and we took ice cube bags to make ice in the small freezer compartment. We also took a small toastie maker. Don’t Forget your toilet rolls. Rooms were cleaned well every day apart from Sunday. We could keep our room on for £20 on the last day as we had a late flight, which was ideal as out by 6 and picked up 6:15. Pool was open 8-7 and I swam a lot when it was quiet in the morning and evening. There were no sunbed wars as always ones available and they would get you more out if there wasn’t. Parasols were new and plentiful and easy to move, very much needed in the heat of August. Many people around the pool were return guests which says a lot. You can buy 5l of water from them to save you carrying it. Supermarket Migros is only 8 minutes walk away for any essentials. Drinks very reasonable, they would put it in my drink flask for me to keep it cool. Food was lovely, great value, ate there for some breakfasts and lunches and had the steak night. The fillet was amazing! A nice quiet location in the old town and a short 10 minute walk to main busy streets passing pubs, restaurants and shops on the way. About a 20 minute walk to the beach but Icmeler is so flat it’s a pleasure walking. We booked a 2bedroom apartment with Jet2, transfer was by minibus and took about 90 minutes. We booked the Rhodes trip and that was lovely. We missed the barbecue night which looked amazing and they had a lot of different entertainment on. We got back from Rhodes late and caught the entertainment from our balcony. We also travelled on a Monday and missed the lamb shank night which we were gutted about. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, were always pleasant and worked so hard to make sure everyone had a great time. We loved it so much we’ve come back and booked up to go back again next year!
