ı had been here just for 1 night .i advice if you go to Antep city you need to stay here .cause you feel the architect of Antep when you stay at this KONAK .and this place has Realy diffrent roman .and i like the people who work there .
by the way this place is an Armenian historical building

The Hidiroglu Konak Hotel in Gaziantep is a lovely, quirky small hotel just off a main street in Gaziantep. The proprietor is a lovely man who speaks limited English and is enormously helpful. The hotel is festooned with many historic photos of the owner's family. The included breakfast is delicious and the breakfast room comfortable and spacious. The staff was similarly wonderful. Gaziantep is not an obvious stop on a trip to Turkey, but it is a foodie destination, in fact, known for its kebap and incredible baklava that includes ample portions of the region's star crop -- pistachios. I see a return trip in my future. I might try to avoid the attic room, especially if you are tall, but that's a minor complaint.

We arrived here at night and were a little worried at first.  This area doesn't show well at night.

Once daytime rolled around, everything was all good.  It is a lively area with some delicious small local restaurants nearby and it is about a 15 min walk to the covered bazaars and historical center.

The hotel was really good.  It has large rooms with very high ceilings and is very bright especially in the AM.  You also picked up street noise in the morning, so not the best if you want to sleep late.

The real star of the show is Ali Bey, however.  He is very generous and a great host.  The rest of the staff are also all very nice, though with very limited english.  And they have the best tea in Turkey.  

Pro tip: I would skip breakfast and go for some Beyran (local breakfast soup) at a shop.  It is otherworldly.

This beautifully restored old Armenian House provided a lovely, restful place to stay on my last day, although fellow guests said it was also a good base for exploring.  I was there two nights and cannot say enough good things about the hospitality of the owner and staff and the comfort of the rooms.  I spent the first night in the large room to the left of the entrance, which was filled with fascinating antiques and felt like I'd traveled back in time (with a 21st century shower and good WiFi connection!).  They had a family coming the next night and needed a room with another bed, so they moved me to the suite up under the raters.  It was equally magical, with it's little sitting room with windows on 3 sides and it's patio.  

In both rooms, the beds were comfortable with good quality mattresses, sheets and pillows.  The water pressure was great in both baths.  The minibars kept drinks very cold and the prices were reasonable.

The courtyard area is a great place for getting together in the evenings as well as to linger over the huge breakfast.  They do not do evening meals, but are happy to arrange to have food delivered or to run out to buy something special for you.  

I had an early morning flight and the owner came at 5am to drive me personally to the airport.  I tried to pay him TL 2.00 for the water from the minibar and he gave me a big smile and waived my payment aside.  Very gracious hospitality from everyone.  

The passages under the hotel are fascinating, too!

I recommend this place very highly!

We spent 3 nights here as a base for tourism in the city and surrounding area. The hotel is absolutely charming, a beautiful building in the former Armenian quarter, much of which is being or has been restored. We lashed out and had a suite up in the roof, nicely furnished and appointed. The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer or more hospitable. The breakfasts were probably the best we had on our trip to Turkey (the overall standard being good). 

There was private parking for our car -- when we finally found the hotel (not so easy as web maps of the area are not too reliable), we started to drive up what one of the maps said was the right, but very narrow, road, not the right way to get in so it turned out, and fortunately one of the hotel staff guessed who we might be and rescued us before we had become too entangled in very narrow streets!

Gaziantep is a super place to visit. The Mosaic Museum is world class and worth the journey in its own right. And staying at the Hidiroglu matches this!

A beautiful building, restored with original features inside and out. However it has a long way to go to justify calling itself a "Boutique Hotel". The room itself was pleasant with original wood panelling and floor, but there were no curtains and little soundproofing, as well as constant street noise. The bathroom and shower are tiny and in poor condition, with no space to turn around. There are no bedside lights and most of the electric sockets did not work and supply relied on a DIY-style extension cable which had a loose connection. All in all, a poor night's sleep and cannot recommend it.
