The sea view of our room was exellent. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Room was clean .The beech which is in front of the hotel is very good and picturesque. The hotel's accessibility to different restaurants is  very good. This hotel doesn't have elavator and this makes some difficulties for going to the upper floors. The bathroom is small.

The hotel itself is old and lost, the furniture would be great to replace. The hotel's location is excellent! The staff did everything as needed and even better, quite friendly people. The food is good and diverse (they only took breakfast). The air conditioner works and is included in the price of the room - this is also a plus.

It could have been good, but...

Very friendly staff, especially the night porter Dursum, who speaks German and English.

We were at the Makri Beach Hotel for the second time.

Well located beachfront hotel along a little boardwalk in the centre of Calis beach. We had a family room which was on the top floor. No elevator but staff helped us with our bags. The room was a decent size with 2 balconies, one facing Calis Beach with great views. There were 2 small closets provided which did not give our family of 2 adults and 1 child enough drawer or cupboard space. The bathroom was ok- the shower enclosure leaked unfortunately which made the whole bathroom wet but no other major issues. Soaps for some reason were not provided. The pool was well maintained. Breakfasts were fairly good though small with a selection of hot and cold dishes and different options every day. Wifi was erratic. Fairly budget hotel but with good pool and restaurant and great location. Gulet boats within walking distance behind the hotel.

Basic beachfront hotel with pool and restaurant

First, I was given much smaller room at 4th floor, then the one I originally booked - not for people of my height 6'3'' and a guest can even seriously hurt itself. After firm complain I got a regular and sufficiently comfortable room with normal ceiling height. Personnel, like mads and kitchen people and servants do great job in a bit outdated hotel at fine waterfront location. Breakfast is standard of greatness  in TR and this hotel is not an exemption. Reception is flexible and tries to meet reasonable requests from guests. My experience was POSITIVE and outer contributing factors were great weather and the shoulder season -no big noisy crowds around and no cacophony of music from various sources.

Relaxing atmosphere, fine location & breakfast

Ok the decor is a little tired but it was functional and kept very clean by the friendly cleaners.free Aircon that is new.breakfast plenty of choice i don't like a full English in a hot country the dining area is at the side of the beach lovely views,the staff are very friendly,you get what you give with most people if you are pleasent they will be.weate at local restaurants & at the hotel didn't have a bad meal in the 14days were there.other reviews have moaned about the heat it's Turkey in August it's going to be hot.really enjoyed the hotel & hope to be back next year

Lovely people

I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, and I strongly selected a beach hotel. Well, our choice was great. We had a wonderful stay with a nice view to the pool and beach. The rooms were a bit small. Friendly staff and hotel few steps to many restaurants, cafes, book a tour offices and the beach. I can rate it like this:
Breakfast: Excellent
Staff: Wonderful 
Location: Super
WiFi: Great 
The blanket and towels get changed every 3 days only. Thanks to the manager Oya

Hotel stay was horrible. We had a great room view (by the sea), however the rooms are so old and dirty. There are no basic utilities provided, not even a bottle of water. The breakfast is very minimal and not fulfilling. The location of the hotel is fine, however I don’t advice you visit Fathiye in August as it is very hot. The staff at the hotel are friendly, however don’t count on them to help you out with anything. I strongly don’t adivce you to book your stay in this ‘hotel’- it’s barely a 1 star motel.

Not recommended

Stayed for three weeks in July in the family room ..
The room was clean and actually one of the biggest we have stayed in with lots of storage space which you don’t usually get .
Towels and bedding changed every three days and the rooms are cleaned everyday .
If you have any problems at all the staff are only happy to help .
The location right on the beach front is perfect especially as you can sit on a beanbag rocker swing or comfy chair to watch the sunset or the world go by .
Everybody we met no matter what nationality were so friendly .
The pool is a great size and you get a great breeze from the sea .
Can’t wait to return next year .

Perfect location ..amazing staff

We came to this hotel in July 2017 for 10 days not really knowing what to expect. We have now come back in July 2018 for two weeks as it was a fantastic place to stay. 
We found many of the guests were Turkish and very friendly, (if we had wanted English staff and guests we would have stayed in England!)  
The hotel is clean and tidy with the  most friendly staff who cannot do enough for you, (even turning the coffee machine back on at 01;50 in the morning just for a cappachino when your unable to sleep!!) 
The hotel is right on the seafront with great views, Turkish breakfast as advertised, we have made many friends here and will be booking next year as soon as possible. From the staff to the hotel management all make you feel at home. If you need anything extra all you need to do is ask ( we borrowed a personal laptop from the hotel manager to put the wife's paragliding pictures on) which is above and beyond the normal service. 
We cannot give enough credit to the people who work here. 

If you want 5 star luxury then you may not get it here, but if you want a relaxing, clean, fun affordable holiday then this is somewhere I would suggest without hesitation. 
Great seating out the front, live music Thursday and Sunday... really amazing holiday and we are looking forward to coming back again. 

I have rated 5 stars as there is not one thing we feel was missing.
