Royal Marina Apartments

I went to the Royal Marina to visit some old friends. We had a wonderful time. The place hasn't changed its still a 5 star location  to stay at and not overly priced. I stayed here about three years ago. The pool bar is well stocked and the staff are very helpful.

We go to these appartments twice a year through oracle and cannot fault them.from the appts themselves to the bar resteraunt.the pools childrens playarea the gardens and the surroundings its the perfect place to holiday.its not far from the night life and beaches an ideal place to chill out and relax.roll on next year when we will be back again 

Arranged my holiday on here to stay in M16 (Kate’s apartment).   Had several chats with her via email and she was always very prompt in replying. Kate arranged transport from the airport with Oracle for us which we had to wait an hour for another flight to arrive which was disappointing. Arrived at the resort early hours of the morning and was shown to our apartment. The apartment was on the 3rd floor but there was a lift. We were not disappointed. Needed water and was very hungry so went straight to Raggie bar where we met Eddie and Engin. Engin arranged a takeaway for us as the kitchen was closed and gave us bottles of water for the room. 

The apartment was a two bedroom duplex which could have been cleaner but acceptable, with aircon in each room. The bedding was clean at least. It contained everything we needed for a pleasant stay including a cupboard full of sun cream and toiletries which had been leftover from previous holiday makers. Couldn’t get the internet to work in the room but could access it at the bar. Food at the bar was reasonably priced and enjoyable. Eddie and Engin made it impossible to walk passed without having a drink with them. Great guys, very friendly and always found the time to sit with you and talk. 

The pool area was cleaned each day and relaxing to sit around with music not too loud. 

Was a fantastic place to stay and would recommend to anyone. Have booked to go again through Oracle in September and am staying at A18 this time. Planning on going again next year too with friends. 

Most of these apartments are closed now for the winter. The complex will be open in April 2018. Many of the apartments are privately owned but some of the apartments are rented for the summer.  There are two wonder pools that are maintained from April until October.  There us also a bar on the complex that also serves food nearly all day long. There are certain nights in the summer that this bar has some sort of entertainment from quizzes and karaoke.  A lot of the locals attend these nights and they can be good fun. So hopefully we will all enjoy good company

Booked for M16 and had been in contact with the owner Kate for a year she even called and we had discussed the booking, was emailed all info for M16 a few days before travelling. Then an email the night before informing us we were now going to be in J16 with no reason why. Arrived to J16 to find it dirty, peoples inflatables lying, shoes, food in cupboard dated 2015! Beds looked like they had been made up in 2015 too, sheets all crumpled was unsure if they were even clean. Toilets didn’t work and shower door was off, taps were really corroded. Emailed Kate who said she would get cleaners round asap to deep clean or arrange a move. I was so disappointed as not what I had expected as Kate had described her place as amazing! After two days and Kate no longer replying to me I spoke to the oracle staff and we had the toilets fixed, beds changed and I cleaned the apartment I managed to settle but my holiday could have been so much better! Pool was great, Raggy bar food was very good. Electricity was off 3 times in 11 days which was a pain but most of complex was off. By the end of our holiday I was happier, no one ever fixed the shower door but luckily we had two bathrooms. The oracle staff told me Kate had double booked her apartment and this is why I was now staying in an oracle apartment.  I think the oracle staff could have been more helpful, I was quite disappointed with them. They only approached me on my last day and I think it was to see what time we were leaving. One thing for sure I left J16 cleaner than it was when I arrived and a cupboard of cleaning products. Now awaiting my deposit back for M16! It hasn’t put me off returning as there are some lovely apartments in royal marina but I would be very wary! Altinkum is fab!

Apartment was clean, no issues. Lovely pool. Great location. At the bar on site (Eddie’s bar) the guys Ergin (Eddie), Muhammet (Elvis) and Yusuf (Joseph) are all so lovely, welcoming and friendly. They can’t do enough for you. Food is great. Unfortunately the other guy ‘Engin’ ruined my holiday. My first holiday with my one son (9) a few months prior, he was friendly at first, adding me on Facebook saying to let him know if I needed anything to let him know. Then started asking me to leave my son at the pool and come upstairs and a drink. After this holiday he’d sent messages asking me to send a private picture to him and he will do the same. After saying no he continued to ask saying he thought he’d been nice to me when I was there and he can accept the responsibility of a private photo. Eventually he stopped. Then going back on holiday to the same place (both holidays were booked at the beginning of the year) he continued to ask me to leave both my boys at the pool (9 and 12) and go for a drink internet apartment. I kept saying no or ignoring him. Eventually he realised he wasn’t going to get anything from me and then completely ignored me making me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. He messaged asking me to pay my bill 3 days before I was leaving even though I didn’t need to. I spoke with Eddie to who said I didn’t need to pay and to ignore Engin and please come back to use the bar. I did on the last day and again Engin completely ignored me. As much as it was nice to not be bothered I felt so uncomfortable and felt a part of my holiday had been ruined. My step dad owns an apartment there which I can use for free but unfortunately after this, I will not be going back. I spoke with a couple of other girls who had also said he’d made them feel uncomfortable and were avoiding him. So please be aware if you’re going to this complex that there is a high chance this will be you next. And if you’re not interested in him, he will be hostile and make you feel really uncomfortable. Shame as the other guys are all so lovely.
