If you want to both see Istanbul and the real Turkey this is the place for you. In the small friendly village you can eat good fish from the black sea and Bosporus as well as all other traditional Turkish dishes. The hotel offers a friendly family-hotel atmosphere and a nice pool area to relax. The sandy beach facing the black sea is good with sea side cafees and restaurants. If you want to go downtown Istanbul, you take a cab or get a real Turkish experience. Dolmus (small local bus) to the nearby center Beykos. A good value boat trip (TRL 1:50! ) over the Bosporus and then bus/metro downtown. Overall a very good experience
