Hotel Green Goreme

Nice place with attention to detail. It is not carved into a rock, as per description, but made from rock slabs. The rooms are large & traditionally decorated. It is in a quiet part of town & just outside the gate is a beautiful walk up into the rocks with a beautiful view over Rose valley. There is also a tiny village for shopping, but it is more for Laval's than tourists. These guys don't do a bad job of Turkish coffee. Breakfast on my first morning there was non-existent, but they did offer me whatever I wanted especially. Second morning was a full on spread & there was a small tour group also having breakfast. The ambiance is nice, food good & they play nice jazz throughout the common areas & garden.
