Assos Margot Hotel

It was sheer good fortune we chose this boutique hotel. Initially we were looking for a larger resort but in the event this venue left little to be desired. It was like staying in the delightful home of a dearest friend. Generally boutique stands for 'small' but the tasteful mix of antique and designer interiors and the airy atmosphere made the spacious rooms cool and comfortable. The youngest member of our party enjoyed dabbling in the pool just below our room while the oldest was able to gaze out across the bay and enjoy the enchanting views from the various patios and balconies. The more energetic sampled beaches, water-sports, a local thermal spa and the delights of nearby Alacati. Turkish style breakfast is beautifully served adjacent to the pool and no extras are too much trouble for the staff. I say staff but when you are served by Le Patron himself it is difficult to think of them as staff. There are numerous excellent restaurants within easy reach but with the most delicious meals exquisitely cooked available in such an exclusive setting it was difficult to wander far. And I haven't even mentioned the wafting scent of jasmine from the surrounding gardens! If you want to experience a dream lifestyle in peace and tranquility for a week, or more, here is the place to go.
