This is my third stay at Egem Pansiyon, rooms are basic but clean & the tariff is cheap & the staff [who mostly don't speak English] are friendly & always give you a smile. Yes I'd come back again mainly because of the price & Canakkale is a good Turkish city with many good restaurants plus its opposite the Gallipoli Peninsula which has special significance for Australians & Egem is only a few minutes walk to the Ferry Terminal.

The hotel is just in the center of Canakkale with its charming little narrow steets and about 50 meters from the sea and the ferriboat station, and about 150 meters from the naval museum. 
The breakfast is scarce which is not usual for Turkey. Otherwise, staff is very polite and helpful.

We arrived at Egem Pension in the afternoon and were greeted by two of the staff at reception. The hotel was quite easy to find from where the bus dropped us off (that was a different experience riding with Kamil Koç - I'd recommend Pamukkale). Anyways, once we arrived the staff could tell we were quite hot and bothered and immediately got us some cold water, which was greatly appreciated. They took both our suitcases up to the room and showed us about.

The room was exactly what we expected, spacious enough for two people, clean, tidy and well kept. The AC worked immediately and the shower was hot (not like our stay in Istanbul). The breakfast which was included in our booking was across the street in a small cafe, which comprised a typical Turkish spread including hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, bread with jams and honey and a couple of Turkish cheeses, with tea and coffee.

The services and amenities provided by the hotel were in line with our expectations and what they advertised. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it and would stay there again! Well done.

Stayed here a few nights while visiting Gallipoli on a tour. This place is clean an comfortable and close to the ferry terminal. Most staff had very limited English, but the evening staff member was enthusiastic and very keen to practice with you. 

Breakfast was pretty good, served in the borrowed restaurant across the road.

Enjoyable Stay

Clean and comfortable

An excellent choise for those who want to visit all the interesting places worth seeing in Canakkale.

Where to start. Absolutely disgusted. Stained sheets smelly rooms. Rude desk staff. Avoid at all cost. This hotel looks like it had the photos taken 20 years ago. Fire escape blocked and door won't open. No blanket on the bed. Booked on the lonely planet recommendation. Top 3 worst hotel I have ever visited.
