Everything was perfect. From a charming and attentive staff to a delicious breakfast, only remark would be not staying long enough. The rooms are incredibly clean, safe, calm and with a wonderful view of the bay. Definitely they make you feel at home and can’t wait to come back :)

Alesta Otel arguably has the best views on the island! It is so cute and very clean. It has Internet, cable, and AC. We had a fantastic little room with a nice balcony that overlooked the town and the castle. The views at sunrise were amazing, not to mention it’s only a five minute walk to the downtown area. They also have plenty of parking so that’s not an issue. Meral and Gizem are so kind and welcoming. They also speak great English. They are very helpful and give great recommendations for places to visit and how to get there. The breakfast spread is wonderful!

Alesta is the hotel that hosted the perfect holiday with my friends. I felt the warmth of the family from the first day. Meral and Deniz are the most wonderful and hospitable hosts we’ve ever met and who make you feel welcome and look after you from the moment you arrive to when you sadly have to go home. They were always ready to help, incredibly friendly, helpful and smiling, with good sense of humor and nothing was too much trouble for them. We couldn’t have been made more welcome.
The hotel is small, beautifully decorated and charming. Moreover, it is perfectly located and has a beautiful garden with stunning sea views where we enjoyed a very delicious, good quality, healthy and varied breakfast every morning. By the way, we were in love with börek  and we couldn’t get enough of them. Our room was quite spacious, cozy and spotlessly clean with terrace and amazing sea view.
Dear Meral, thank you very much for your hospitality and making our holiday even more lovely. We miss you already and “our beach” also and we look forward to coming back to Bozcaada and seeing you again. InşAllah tekrar görüşürüz!  Our best wishes to you and your family.

First of all, I would like to start with this sentence if you want to feel at home when you are in holiday, you should choose this amazing hotel and you should not look any other choices. I will try to explain my experiences for Alesta with a few sentences. As you know, in general, we are expecting to stay a comfortable, clean, having good service  hotel and Alesta has all of them. Besides these you can have gorgeous breakfast which made by Mrs. Meral who is amazing woman, you should try her handmade jams, cookies, cakes. Also, hotel has amazing view to see whole Bozcaada and you can feel peace at hotel's little garden. I can not explain host's good-humour, attention, helpfulness and  kindness, you should live this great experience. I am %100 glad to stayed there and I will back there as soon as possible as I can.

My family and I stayed here for three nights for our first trip to the island of Bozcaada. I learned about Alesta Otel through TripAdvisor and reached out to the owner, Meral, through phone and What’s App. Meral was very prompt in her responses and has great English, which was helpful as my Turkish isn’t as good as I’d like it to be. There doesn’t seem to be an online method of reserving rooms, but that’s fine because it’s part of the charm of the hotel. 

Alesta Otel consists of 8 rooms and one dining area spread across 3 levels. We stayed on the top level in a room called Kelepce Bagi. This room had a balcony with two chairs and a beautiful view of the windmills, the sea, the castle, and the town. We also booked Marsibet Cevizi for my mother, which is also on the top level. It does not have a balcony, but it has a view of the sea and also a large bed and an extra twin bed which would be good for a couple and a child. Ispanyol Izbarco (also with a balcony I think) and El incensi Cevizi are also on the top floor. The rooms were cleaned well each day. The bathrooms were clean, water pressure was good, and there was plenty of warm water for showers. If you are particular about toiletries, you may want to bring your own. It was nice after our day at the beach to come back to the room and shower off the kids and ourselves and rest before dinner. The air conditioner also works well and we used that during the evenings. You also have the option of opening a window, which are screened which is great, to enjoy the fresh air. 

Breakfast was from 9-11, and consisted of a lovely spread of breads, homemade jams (I bought the tomato jam and the apple carrot jam to take home because they were so delicious), boiled eggs, olives, cheeses, sweets, cucumbers, tomatoes, tea, Nescafé (Turkish coffee for purchase I think) and fresh apricot juice, and a few dishes would change each day, like sautéed potatoes, scrambled eggs with tomato, freshly fried Turkish breads in the shape of hearts- it was such a treat with the jam. Having breakfast outside on the garden patio was so lovely because Alesta Otel has a beautiful perch from which to look down on the town and the sea. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts each morning. 

We took the ferry to Bozcaada Island from Geyikli Iskele. Meral was very helpful when I asked questions over whats app about how this would work. Cars can go on the ferry too, but we were pedestrian passengers. The ferry ride was only about 30 minutes. As we didn’t bring a car with us (most guests seemed to drive cars) we relied on taxis to get to the beach, but we were able to walk to the Merkez for all of our meals and we could walk to the castle. The location is central to the town (Merkez) and very convenient, but up on a small hill so you have the luxury of a view. 

I’d love to go back to enjoy this hotel and Bozcaada. Thank you Meral Hanım for a wonderful stay and for being so kind to my family. 



Very friendly hotel with a great staff. This cute hotel has a perfect view over the island Bozcaada. It's close to the centre of the island and the beaches. Alesta has the most delicious breakfast, with homemade marmelades, fresh pastries and many more local products. This hotel has a nice garden where you can enjoy your drinks and snacks. The rooms are clean and large. It's a very neat hotel. If you're planning a trip to Bozcaada I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved staying in this very spacious clean hotel with the most amazing hosts. Nothing was any trouble and it was our home away from home. Loved it. Breakfast was wonderful with home made jams and freshly pickled olives from local trees. Can’t wait till we come back. Thank you Meral(owner and host) see you soon

I’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel for two nights with my girlfriend, and I have to say we loved it! Our room had a picture perfect view over the charming city of Bozcaada, with a backdrop of a mountain filled with olive trees. The room was kept nice and clean, which btw. met all our needs, the breakfast was diverse and for everyone but still managed to keep the Turkish red thread and ofc the owner is just a sweetheart, caring, charismatic and service minded. Very clean, very good breakfast, polite and friendly host. The staff is outstanding, they are always ready to help you and always smiling. The hotel's front garden has a nice view of the main village and the castle. A nice spot for a morning coffee. Everything on the breakfast buffet was delicious, they have their own home made marmalades, borekitas and cakes. Reasonable prices. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
