Hotel is the closest hotel to Yazılıkaya, even you can walk. View from hotel is beautiful, you see whole Hattusas infront of you. Mehmet Bey (owner) and all staf was very sincere, friendly, they did everything to make us happy. Hotel is surrounded by sunflower fields. Rooms are clean and spatious.

I was the only person staying here one night in October 2017. When I arrived the power was off, so the owner gave me a flashlight to find my way around the room, and a portable space heater for the room for when the power did come on. No television, and the bathroom had that remarkable Middle Eastern feature of a "shower" that deposits water straight onto the floor. But my sleep was restful, and my host got up early to specially make my breakfast the next morning. It set me up for a wonderful day exploring Hattusa.

We called in here for a late lunch after visiting Yazilikaya.  Basically, the hotel was open but not really expecting anyone.  That could be said of much of rural Turkey out of peak season in a terrible tourist year; many places were just plain "shut".  However, the response to our arrival was outstanding.  The owner mobillised staff in record time and an excellent lunch was on our terrace table very quickly.  Super service.

The husband and wife team who runs the Kale Hotel made our stay here very pleasant. The breakfast was  good and you can also have a wonderful home cooked meal in the evening. The rooms and bathroom is dated but very , very clean with good bedding and comfortable beds. Asked for a front room with balcony as the views over the village and Hattusa is beautiful. The water pressure is not always good but we had a hot shower every day. Wifi is not always strong in the room but downstairs in the dining area and on the outside terrace it is very good.The location is about 2km from the entrance to Hattusa and 1km from Yazilikaya and 2.5km from the village and museum. Good place to stay to visit such an historic and beautiful area.

The owner was very nice and received us as soon as we drove in to the car park in front of the hotel, and helped us with luggage. He speaks adequate English and we had no problem communicating. We were the only guests, and his wife cooked dinner and breakfast. Her home cooking is excellent! Room is spacious with a balcony that overlooks the Hattusha archeological site. The only problem we find with the room is the bathroom facility. There is hot water but the water pressure is not good. Wifi works well except after 10:30 at night until the next morning. Not sure if it is turned off or just bad connection. However, the hotel has beer, which is something we cannot find in the town. The hotel also sells books about the site and souvenirs. Overall an enjoyable stay.
