Il Riccio Beach House

We visited il riccio (only beach club) with 2 friends of mine, two times in three days and I would say in total we had a great time. Decoration is far more than great, beach view is spectacular, and sitting setup is ideal even place gets full.(You never feel the crowd and don’t get uncomfortable). The beach is located at Cennet koyu which is one of the best coast in Bodrum, and the sea is always flat so you feel like swimming in a huge pool. There is no entrance fee but you have to spend total of 250 TRY per person which is quite fair compared to other beaches regulations and the services you get. Their signature coctails are quite good which costs 68 TRY. For lunch, you can go to the restarurant side if you don’t want to eat at beach because it has limited menu (snack/bar menu). The restaurant serves italian cuisine and without any hesitation I would say the dishes are pretty tasty. As expected from any luxury restaurant, some of the plates are not satisfactory so you may want to eat something extra on top of your main course. In addition, restaurant has desert room in which you can enjoy any desert you want in a single vacation :) That was a big plus! If you get bored from the beach, you can prefer perfectly designed pool which also has stunning view. You went to pool after 6pm as it gets less crowdy. Apart from all these positive things, I want to comment on service quality which makes us little upset. Our first day of arrival, we give our car to valet parking and needed to take some of our belongings before heading to beach. So while valet was waiting for us to take our stuffs, he got angry and didnt want to wait so tried to move the car when we were taking our things.(there was only us in valet queu so we werent blocking anyone). At second day,(we were 5, one friend joined us with her 6 years old daugher) after waiting approx. 15 min under hot sun, we decided to sit some of the sunbeds at the beach as none of the welcoming waiters were available or guided us. Later on (additional 10 min later), one of them arrived with furious tone and said us to move as they were reserved. You know after waiting that long time and after doing your “self-service” when someone tells you to move with this type of attitude it really annoys you. Anyway, we changed the seats, no problem but the guy who served us didnt changed its attitude and heated the conversation. In addition he didn’t give us any information about child price at the beginning but he reflected to the bill and again he argued with us. (I should add; before arriving we called the otel and learned that 0-7 is free 7-12 is 125 TRY so despite daughter is 6 we are charged). These are some little issues which you would never expect in these type of business. Sure, other guys were very polite and its sometimes only one in a million example but when it hits you it becomes quite upsetting. My humble suggestion to management to pay attention to these type of “intelligent” or “smart” guys who have low motivation to focus on customer happiness and demands. All in all, il riccio is a “must visit” place in Bodrum.
