Summer in Garden Suites & Beach Hotel

Well thank goodness it was only 1 week On the surface this hotel looks nice but it's not until your actually in and and seeing what goes on that you realise that there is no basic COSHH there or health and safety cross contamination is frightening , i beieve this is was caused the sickness out break with my family and several others , From day 1 we had issues, we went down at 6.45 to try and get a coffee we went to pool area and sat our towels down , there was no coffee facilities open at that time as the kitchen doesn't open till 7.30 , we left our towels and went back to the room to make a coffee , when we came back after 7.30 ours and other people's towels were thrown into a dirty pile of old inflatables on the floor , we got our towels only for one to be missing we went to the manager and he was really rude said what do u want me to do about it , we never did get the new towel back. Our room basic air con not very good we had to go and buy a fan as it didn't air whole room , the toilet window was hanging off , shower cubicle filthy , sink filthy , we had to ask for it to be cleaned and when it was the young boy came in with a filthy black mop and basic cleaning stuff with a dirty cloth , I ended up buying stuff to clean it myself. The pillars holding the roof up at balcony are rotten with woodworm , balcony was tiny couldn't even sit out , there was a family next door of 7 people who took the sickness bug , cleaned the room themselves, cleaners left the dirty sick towels outside our room for 2 days before we complained and it was moved. Rubbish left in window outside our room for nearly a week wasn't moved till we complained. Kitchen very basic again no concept of cross contamination, didn't use an antibacterial spray between people leaving and setting up for next people used a dirty cloth that they rinsed through , some kitchen staff were pleasant but not all some quite ignorant. Dessert food left on a counter underneath air conditioning unit to keep it cold, not in a fridge . We ended up with the sickness bug and had to resort to eating out and cost us over 700 for 4 of us , not what we expected for all inclusive . Bar and pool area , ladders into pool are hanging off , plastic vents broken hanging off , we told manager showed him a video , he will get maintenance onto it straight away we were there 1wk still like that when we left Cleaning or lack of wow , young inexperienced boys cleaning ashtrays in people's balcony's and using same coth not rinsed to clean table disgusting. Using a small plastic brush and shovel to spot clean any rubbish at pool area didnt move or lift any longers to pick up rubbish underneath from night before one man actually went and brought him back and lifted lounger himself to clean it , spot mopped any dirty marks they could see with a manky mop that wasn't rinsed at all and used all over pool area and bar , tables at loungers not cleaned from night before, this was after pool opened at 9am , chewing gum stuck to them , dirty lolly pop sticks , plastic cups and coffee stains on them when said they used a manky cloth which hadn't been rinsed through or any anti bacterial spray . After we complained to easy jet 1 reception manager was really rude , we exchanged cash on the Tuesday and then on the Wednesday we went to do it again and he was really cheeky, saying we don't exchange here , we said we'd exchanged night before but basically said we were taking rubbish , even on the last day when we were sitting in reception waiting for our transfer he helped other people out with their cases and torally ignored us Clearly they don't appreciate any criticism regarding this hotel .
