Bergama Ogretmen Evi

Ogretmen Evi locations around Turkey have special prices for teachers. These state run hotels or lodgings offer very good value for money and anyone can stay here. They offer a very good alternative to mainstream hotels. The Ogretmen Evi at Bergama is located along the main highway into town. Up on a hill it commands a very prominent position with some good views over the city. There is ample parking and quiet streets nearby. Check in was simple enough and we paid 110 Turkish Lira ( £21.52 ) for a double room with breakfast included. The room was comfortable and well laid out. With a TV and adequate heating and very clean the bathroom was very good with an excellent shower. There is a cafe on the ground floor which serves snacks and hot and cold drinks. There is also a restaurant which serves a basic set menu. However, at 8.00 Turkish Lira ( £1.56 each ) a head this represents unbelievable value for money and was more than adequate for our needs and quite filling. The staff at the Ogretmen Evi really do make you feel at home. They are friendly and helpful and clearly take an interest in their clientele. Wifi is also provided at the hotel. I would definitely recommend this establishment as a good place to stay for your visit to Bergama. We really liked the atmosphere and the way this place was run.
