Asteria Family Resort Belek

We loved our stay at Asteria Family Resort Belek! POOLS AND SLIDES - Our kids are 4 and 9 years old - they absolutely loved the slides and multiple swimming pools. There's yellow single rider inflatable rings and blue double rider inflatable rings to use. You have to be quick to get the blue ones and guests will tend to wait at the bottom of slides trying to ask you for it. Officially you have to be at least 10 years old for some slides btw. There were life guards on hand to ensure people are using the slides correctly and safely, but most were reasonable to allow younger guests on where appropriate. But the 2 mains slides using the inflatable rings were most strictly monitored. We got up at 8am to put our towels down and there was still loads of available sun loungers. There's loads of umbrellas for shade too. There was a foam party which was brilliant. If you want to get involved within pool games throughout the day there were regular options for you. Water Polo and fun guest involved activities such as trying to skip on a surf board etc. We went in August 2025 which is peak season - its therefore incredibly hot and a busy resort. We went to the shaded kids pool during the middle of the day, which is shaded by trees. The cleaners were cleaning the dropped pines from the trees every day. MINI DISCO - It was the same each night, but the entertainment team was enthusiastic and encouraging kids to get involved. Its very hot on the stage though, so the kids will be sweaty! SHOWS - We watched a couple of shows and they were decent enough in the amphitheatre. There was a massive show on the grass football pitch one night, loads of lasers, cool decorations and good music. Then there looked like a band came in another night too, this was on a proper stage which felt like a festival type experience. Very impressive! FOOD - Restaurants were busy and you have to queue for some food, but there's always tables available. Lots of variety overall, whilst also accommodating for kids such as burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets etc. It's an all inclusive resort, so don't arrive with massive expectations and you'll be fine. You can get ice cream for a few hours during the day from the ice cream shack too. EXURSIONS / SPA - You'll get asked around the pool if you want to do excursions, spa or sea activities etc. We declined, but they aren't as cheap / value for money compared to Egypt etc. NOISE - There is a constant loud noise from the big insects - you'll see them about (big wings and look kind of like a large cricket type bug) - they are harmless and very passive, but as theres loads of trees about its clearly there natural habitat. It sounds like white noise, but they can be very loud! FOOTBALL PITCHES - There is a grass football pitch and also an astro turf style football pitch. The astro is right next to the amphitheatre (mini disco and show) - this one had flood lights so our kids were playing football with other kids at 10pm when it was cooler heat wise. BARS - The pool bar gets busy, but the staff try to serve you as quickly as possible. We found most guests queued fairly, but some do try and jump the queue - as to be fair, there are 2 areas to queue. TIP - You can easily just walk to the snack bar though and grab soft drinks or beer from there. The beach bar (stays open late) was nice and served great cocktails etc! ROOMS - Beds were comfy (double bed and sofa bed) and rooms were absolutely fine! Powerful shower and nice view from the balcony. There are bell boys who can drive you to and from the room when you arrive on golf buggies too. TAXIS - Local taxis are expensive. It cost 40 euro (return trip) to get to a bar to watch the lionesses game which was 15 minutes away. I'd fully recommend the place and we had a brilliant time!
