Jinan Berk Hotel

On June 2013 we went to Ayvalık for diving. We chose Camlik Berk Hotel as a group. The price was reasonable and it was only 5-10 minutes to city center. We only had breakfast there so dont know if they also have lunch and dinner service inside. Room was clean, comfortable enough. So does the bathroom.
The entrance of the hotel and the stairs are decorated with antique items, paintings and accessories. Next to hotel there is the beach. If you want to be closer to the city and stay for a reasonable price then this is the right place for you !

Visited on a tour with RDS Travel, rooms were very good, nice and warm, comfortable bed  and food was good for a coach hotel. Would recommend the hotel and also the tour with RSD Travel which is excellent value

Stayed 2 nights on RSD tour.  Since we had decided to pass on the trip to Troy we had a full day in Ayvalik.  The hotel were very helpful providing a special gluten free lunch for my travelling companion. Afterwards she then enjoyed a relaxing massage in the hotel,  something we had little time for during the rest of the tour, and much cheaper than in the Kuşadasi hotels. 

We stayed here for 2 nights with RSD on the Ephesus/Troy tour. It is a cosy old fashioned place with a club feel; old leather armchairs and log fire in the lounge area. The furnishings and collection of memorabilia made a nice change from the corporate style on the rest of the tour. The room was warm and comfortable but lacked the style of the public areas. The food was buffet style and the same as everywhere else. Close enough to the beach for a stroll in the evening.

We stayed two nights on our RSD tour of Turkey.  This hotel has the ambience and style of an old Colonial Club of the 1930,s and is in fairness very comfortable in the public areas. A real Log fire in the evenings and lots of dark wood and leather furnishings is  a pleasant place to spend time with friends.  The food again was Turkish, self service buffet style and the dining room was busy but not unpleasantly so.  Drinks were expensive. they even tried to make us pay an extra 2 euro for a glass of fresh orange juice at breakfast !.   The rooms were clean enough but to be fair this hotel is showing its age and there was evidence of  untreated damp and neglect in some corners. Not a bad hotel, but expensive and showing it's age. Nothing to get excited about.

Colonial Club

This is the first time that I'm giving a terrible review about a hotel. The room was not ready when I have tried to check in at 5pm. They don't have a beach so the pictures are fake. They have told me to take a bus ride to get to that beach. The balcony door of the room was not closing, there were cigarette butts on the floor, the tv was not working, shower is dirty and full of hair and the room is nothing like the pictures. The staff is rude. I have asked if they have coffee, the guy yelled at me "I'm not gonna bring coffee to you". There is no misunderstanding, I speak Turkish fluently. So I have complained about this to the manager. He asked me what I do for a living. I said I'm going to write a bad review, he didn't care. The next morning the other guy at the breakfast kept smiling at me. I have checked out from this hotel a day early, I didn't care. My peace of mind is more important. I have put up some pictures which includes the water that I'm supposed to make coffee with.
