Alara Hotel - All Inclusive

This year we decided to visit a place which we haven’t been to much in the past for our vacation and decided to go to Alanya, a hidden gem on the south coast of Turkey, 2 hours drive to East from the popular and overcrowded holiday destination of Antalya. We wanted a relatively quiet, family-friendly place, with good access to the turquoise waters of Turkish Mediterranean and good service that would not cost an arm and a leg. And we found exactly that at the Alara Hotel. Alara is the smaller one of the two sister hotels on the same spot and guests of Alara can still enjoy most facilities of the bigger 5star Sister, Alara Star Hotel. The rooms are good size and have nice balconies overlooking the sea and beautiful old gardens. There were many long-timers staying at the hotel who have been coming back to Alara every summer for many years for its local charm, friendly staff and beautiful grounds. The hotel has a big beach area on the east side at the end of the famous Incekum Beach known for its powder-like sands as well as two smaller beaches on the west side in little, picturesque rocky bays. For pool lovers, there is also a nice pool area in the middle of the facility surrounded by lush gardens and pine trees. Food is generous and very tasty freshly prepared by the Long-time in-house chefs and the deal was all inclusive with plenty of food and drinks available throughout the day around the hotel for the hungry and thirsty ones. The only small downside was that the rooms were a little tired as one of the oldest establishments on Incekum. However, our wonderful host and charming manager of the hotel Mr Haluk told us that a major reconstruction and facelift is scheduled for the coming winter to welcome the 2019 summer with a totally renewed facility and still the same great location and natural beauties of the hotel as well as its usual friendly staff and service. Definitely worth to check out again for the next summer.
