We loved Tas Hotel, the staff were so helpful and kind, in particular Betul and Taha, Betel is also an amazing baker! The hotel is well located and beautiful, we had the two garden rooms which are lovely and have their own patio area. Alacati itself is quite pricey but we thought Papazz restaurant recommended by the hotel was well worth it, the food there is amazing. Thanks everyone for making our stay great.

We chose this place for its convenient location, without knowing anything about its quality. And what a pleasant surprise. Nice charming hotel with amazing interesting design. And a very spacious garden with olive trees and a pool. 

Sitting having breakfast under these trees by the pool felt like a privilege in the cool fresh autumn weather. The breakfast was amazing with many different items, and varied daily. Staff extremely nice and helpful.

Wow! What a special place to stay. Our room had a balcony over the Main Street , so we’re not sure if it would be really noisy in high season, as we were not disturbed at all. If concerned, ask for a room overlooking their amazing courtyard and pool area. 
We often had the pool to ourselves and what a beautiful spot it is! 
Breakfast was sat outside next to the pool and was excellent, with a variation each day.
The staff created a very special ambiance by simply being 'around' but never being intrusive.
We wandered out into Alacati streets in the eve for a meal, and then enjoyed a drink in the courtyard before retiring.

We had an exceptional stay at Tas Otel. The property is beautiful, and it’s evident the staff takes great care of the property on a regular basis from cleaning the outdoor shared common space, tending to the beautiful plants, and how well they clean the rooms. It’s in a great location within a few blocks of the action, but it’s at the end of the Main Street making it a quiet refuge amidst the scene. The property manager went above and beyond to make us comfortable and show us a good time. When he noticed us drinking wine on the outdoor patio, he brought us fresh fruit. He gave us fantastic recommendations that perfectly met the vibe we wanted from restaurants to beach clubs. He even made the reservations for us so we didn’t need to worry about it! The breakfast is incredible. So fresh, so delicious, and there’s a lot of it. Each day they make a new fresh dish. The best fresh fruit I’ve had in life. I’m also never the type to hang at a pool when there’s so much to see, but we loved hanging by the pool, it was very peaceful. This place is well taken care of, and they take good care of their guests.

Wonderful hospitality from Cihan and everyone who works there. We needed help with planning our excursion to Cesme beaches and were grateful for the patient instructions. Unfortunately we don’t speak Turkish during this trip, but everyone was willing to speak English with us, and offered excellent tips for navigating Alaçatı. We would love to return to this beautiful hotel 🌸

The Otel Tas is just wonderful!! It is an oasis of peace immersed in a beautiful garden with swimming pool. the rooms are very nice with large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. it is in an optimal position in the center of Alacati, but it is not immersed in the central street full of restaurants and clubs, so you can enjoy hours of sleep in total relaxation. the staff is fantastic and super helpful and the breakfast is excellent, freshly prepared every morning.
Everyone should go there! :)

Stayed at the Tas Otel in their King Suite room (which has been renovated) for three nights. This historical hotel is in the old heart of Alacati village and is a beautiful property. Cihan and his team were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this hotel, which has recently reopened after being closed for quite a while.

Great hotel!

Warm hospitality and an oasis in Alaçatı

It is a beautiful property, tastefully decorated and with original art on the walls. The breakfast is very good and the staff are generally quite helpful. The biggest difficulty we had was the noise from a nearby restaurant which was deafening and carried on all night every night. I understand that the rooms at the back or on the courtyard may be quieter. I should also note that the expedia ad says that the hotel has laundry and parking. Laundry is actually taken to an external drycleaner on request and is ridiculously expensive. This is an issue in Cesme as a whole. Bring enough clothing for your time in Cesme. The expedia ad also says that there is parking. The hotel itself has no parking. When we arrived one of the staff introduced us to a "valet" who was actually just a local who would park your car somewhere nearby and charged us far too much. We realized after the first night that there was generally street parking nearby and we had no trouble after the first night.

Tas Otel very nearly lived up to it's reputation! We enjoyed our time here and were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and well appointed but the Garden Room would benefit from a few minor additions eg door/wall hooks and also trays for shower gel and shampoo. The only thing missing from a 5 star review was the lack of an X  factor. Service was acceptable but never pro-active. The lack of an owner or customer-focussed Manager on-site was evident.  And we searched in vain for the complimentary afternoon tea and cake but perhaps this was  at thing of the past!

Pretty good but perhaps not as good as it used to be?

Tas Otel is back!

Tas Otel, the first of now over 400 hotels in Alacati with nearly 20 years of service is an excellent choice.  While we have read of noise, in-spite of being on the corner of Alacati’s main pedestrian street (the area is pedestrian only) once behind the walls of the hotel, during our stay in early October, it was an oasis – peaceful and quite.

Impressive is Zeynep’s communication.  Responses were very prompt with excellent English.  She was extremely helpful with any questions asked, including arranging car rental in nearby Cesme.

We were in one of the large rooms - #8 – a cottage separated from the main building with a nice sitting area of comfortable chairs.  Highly recommended.

Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of breads and jams, along with many other choices, including eggs to order.

The grounds are attractive, with a pool.  Everything is clean and freshly painted – visually beautiful.

The staff at Tas Otel are wonderful.  However beyond Zeynep (and apparently one other who was away at the time) they do not speak English, a shortcoming they make up for with their smiles and friendly service.

One caution – if you do not like cats this might not be the place for you.  There are many cats that have been ‘adopted’, all of whom were well fed and cared for by staff.  They were very respectful and friendly cats but it you are allergic to or otherwise do not like cats be forewarned.

We did have some difficulty finding Tas Otel.  Alacati has a significant pedestrian only zone (of which Tas Otel is inside).  We kept encountering barriers that prevented entry.  Once we found the closest access it was quite easy with considerable free parking on nearby streets.  Make sure to ask Zeynep for detailed directions.

Be sure to ask Zeynep for restaurant suggestions.  We were very pleased with a couple she recommended – they being nearby Papazz and Asma Yapragi.

We enjoyed meeting Zeynep, the staff and other guests during what was a very enjoyable stay.
