Grand Park Lara Hotel

Just arrived home from staying for 9 nights in family deluxe room, and already booked for next year! The hotel is clean, very tidy and accommodating, and all staff are polite, friendly and happy to assist. Rooms are a tad outdated and in need of a bit of revamp but overall didn’t matter as has all the amenities we needed to keep us comfy in our room. Water restocked daily in room, other cold drinks restocked every 2/3 days. Food at the hotel we loved, always a good selection and something to suit even the fussiest of eaters. Our 7 year old adored the waffles/fresh pancakes, and probably the best selection of ice creams/lollies we have known from a hotel. We ate mostly at the Tulip restaurant as this was our preference. Yes it has limited choices than the main buffet restaurant but still felt spoilt for choice. BBQ/pizza restaurant is next to the pub and that was good. Beach bar and pool bar serves really nice burgers and skewers. We overheard people moaning about not being seated at tables etc, and being rude to waiters regarding this and they didn’t like having to queue sometimes and generally being ‘entitled’ if you want the Ritz then go to the Ritz!! Drinks are not watered down or come in silly little cups - such an amazing range of cold drinks and alcoholic (iced coffee was my fave!) drinks. Swimming pools are on the cool side but when it’s 30c+ it’s a refreshing dip. No issues getting sunbeds, and it’s great when someone is going round on skates fetching drinks for you. The beach is a short walk, and a fab area. We had a family morning at the spa - Turkish bath and massages for all 3 of us - highly recommend and considering the treatments we had at 150 euro we were impressed. The hotel itself is located very close to shops, bars and restaurants and took about 40 min transfer from airport. Overall an amazing 9 days at Grand Park Lara, can’t wait to return next year with rest of family coming too!
