We are currently staying at this hotel, honestly the hotel and grounds are great, rooms are spacious and the cleaners are amazing.
The food ……. Cold, bland and the same every meal, literally the same, breakfast lunch and dinner. Beer is NOT refrigerated in the restaurant,.
The animation team work hard, but they are the night time entertainment too. No outside performances come to the hotel. Outside bar plays the same Bee Gees and Dua Lipa videos every night. Bring a pack of cards to kill your boredom.
Hubby queues about 15mins for drinks at night every drink!      So I spend a lot of time alone.
Some staff are downright rude, whereas others are cheerful and welcoming. 
This is so far, will update once home if things change.

I spent a wonderful holiday with you, the hotel is wonderful. However, on the day of my departure, something unpleasant happened to me. On October 1 at At 4:30 p.m. I went to return the deposit cards for the towels. An elderly gentleman (age approx. 60+) took our cards and asked me for extra money to give us a room with a sea view. He claimed it was his special gift to us, so he expected a "special thank you." And this is not true, because when we booked a holiday in your hotel, we chose a room with a sea view and paid an additional fee for it. A very unpleasant farewell, this is not how guests should be treated. Please explain the situation.

The hotel was really nice and most reception, restaurant, bar and entertainment staff were lovely.

I however found out one of the staff were trying to get my 17yr old daughter's FB/insta/snap details and this is not okay. Luckily my daughter is pretty street smart, so I would just educate your children before going on possible attention they may get and to be wary of it

The hotel need to educate their staff on this behaviour not being ok.

My recommendation is the hotel need to provide a little map where everything is located as we had no idea and I think they would benefit greatly if they had an ATM on site. As it's a taxi away to get extra cash if you need it.

Nice large pool with slides, smaller pool (possibly adultonlt) and I think there was an indoor pool as well.

Beach was nice but definitely needed a good clean as rubbish and cigarettes in the sand.

The restaurant was a nice size, plenty of room for everyone and I would say a good selection of food, basic but good, we always had something we wanted to eat. There is  a section of the restaurant outside doing things like omelette, pancakes, chips, shrimp etc and we didn't know in till dinner on 2nd day.

We tried the Mediterranean restaurant and it was really just a slightly fancier version of the main restaurant. As far as I could tell each 'special' restaurant has a set menu.

There is a Burger and Pasta bar, ice-cream and drinks by the main large pool and slides, panini between the beach and half circle (adults) pool, 24 hour food/drink bar that does like pizza, calzones and sandwiches by the adult pool.

All the drinks in the above will be beer, maybe a couple of spirits, wine and soft drinks.

Cocktails can only be got in the hotel bar inside. There is like 3 cocktails, mojito, sex on the beach and San Francisco. There is a few spirits and wine and soft drinks.

Rooms are a nice size and bathroom was good, shower screen is a bit pointless as you can't adjust the shower head. They are cleaned every day.

We had a room on the 4th floor in the main building looking over the front (right side if you're looking at the building) if you like aeroplanes this is a great view as you can see the planes taking off and landing at Monastir airport quite clearly.

Entertainment in the evening is either in a little amphitheatre behind the slides, by the adult pool or main bar, they don't tell you, so it's a guessing game on the night lol. 

The entertainment was interesting... the team work hard, from the first time you see them at 10am till the end of the evening entertainment at 10/11pm but the show is the same people doing dancing to songs etc. But they're are definitely working hard.

Overall it was a nice hotel, nice holiday, facilities and accommodation.

Nice hotel and facilities 

Room was nice and clean and large. The bed very comfortable. Bathroom was large also and clean, towels changed daily. Bath was high but a step was made for me. Staff were friendly although some didn’t understand English very well, but we got by. A problem for us was the food. None was covered and flies were all over it, even the breakfast cereal had flies walking over it! Also, food was lukewarm at best and mostly cold. We didn’t eat lunch although I walked round the restaurant every day to see what was on offer. Nothing appealed! I actually lost weight on holiday as I had a omelette for breakfast and chips for dinner. I tried chicken one night but was ill the next day so didn’t have it again. I have been to Tunisia several times over the years but this was the first and last time I will come to this hotel. Also, we seem to have missed the fantastic entertainment on offer as other people have mentioned, not sure where it was! I found the hotel very tired and in need of a makeover. Enjoyed our trip, rooms clean, staff great. Beach beautiful, lots of activities to include everyone. 
Entertainers brilliant,lovely ,helpful and full of energy! Weather fantastic , would come back !!.

Lovely holiday 

the only thing good abt this hotel was the fact that it had slides,other than that it was terrible.you feel that they tried to maximise profit by serving cheap food that wasn't even well cooked.the rice was undercooked,the pasta was unedible,and the meat was mostly raw and didn't even taste that good,i stayed there with my family and friends for 3 nights starting september 1st, the hotel was overbooked and short staffed so they couldn't keep up with the demand,the rooms were poor and the A/C often breaks down in the middle of the night. the servers at the restaurant were kind but the chefs at the meat and fries stations were very rude, the animation team are the best and did everything they could to keep us entertained and often times overworked and severly underpaid for their work so i can't blame them,the bartender at the lobby was very nice and did a great service for us, overall a poor experience from the hotel other than the animation team and the bartender at lobby
avoid this hotel at all costs it was a waste of time and money and we became sick from the food

terrible hotel and not worth the money

This was a very disappointing holiday in so many levels, where the service delivered was so far apart from what was promised on the package!

Room - We were a family of 2 adults and 3 children, staying in interconnecting rooms 526 and 527. The rooms are outdated, the bedding had stains and one of the bedrooms smelled of sewage which we believe was coming from the air conditioning. We complained about the smell every day at the hotel reception, someone came to look at the room once and said it was fixed, but the smell continued. We also complained to our TUI rep twice, who promised to look into it, only to find out on our return that our complaint was never logged!
There was no WiFi in the rooms, despite the hotel advertising WiFi throughout the whole complex. We also complained about this, and the technician who came to look at it concluded that the hotel is at full capacity and the WiFi was not strong enough to supply every room...nice!!!
The carpet in the corridor outside the rooms was very dirty and smelly, it looked like it should have been changed 5 years ago!
we had dirty glasses in our room for 2 days, and when we raised it with the cleaner, she mumbled something in her own language, took the glasses rinsed them in the bathroom and gave them back to us...RUDE!

Food and Drinks - The food was very bland and low quality. The fruit was often over ripe so we couldn't eat it! The rice was often under-cooked. The variety and quality of the food improved slightly on the weekend, but for example there was a chocolate fountain on weekend but no suitable fruit to use on the fountain, only watermelon and melon which don't really go well with chocolate!
The main restaurant looked dirty, the trolleys where the waiters were putting the dirty plates looked filthy, there were long queues to get food and sometimes we even had to wait for a table as it was so full. We had 2 a la carte meals, and the service was terrible. On the sea food restaurant we were served a bottle of wine with no label on, so we didn't really know what we were drinking! We had soup served in cracked bowls, and the food was as bland as in the main restaurant! In the mediterranean restaurant, the service was terrible...the waiter was rushing us, bringing second plates before we even finished the first ones, never offered drinks so we had to ask. When he finally brought the drinks, the table was so chocked with plates that there was no room left for the drinks. The food was no good either, but the service ruined the whole experience! There was a pizza bar near the pool, but the pizza was under-cooked and inedible! The burger and pasta place were just average, but at least better than the pizza. The ice cream was another let down, they were melted as they didn't have proper ice cream freezers to serve them, we could hear the ice shaking under the ice cream containers, that's how they were keeping them cold which obviously wasn't working. The flavours were tasteless and we could taste ice mixed with the ice cream!
Breakfast was nice, in fact the only nice meal of the day.
The drinks were all of poor quality, very 'cheap', local brand coke, fanta, etc. The orange juice served at breakfast literally tasted of rotten oranges, the kids could not drink it and when I tried it, it was so bad that I nearly spit it out! 
The cocktails were terrible, one could manage to drink half of it, and then it was just a taste of low quality, very cheap syrup!
The bars around the swimming pools and at the beach did not serve any alcohol apart from beer, so we couldn’t have a cocktail in the pool. The only bar that served cocktails or other alcoholic drinks was in the lobby, which is a big let-down for a 4 Star hotel. Even the bar near the stage where the evening entertainment takes place only served beer, which is appalling!

The swimming pools were nice, especially the main pool with the slides! The entertainment team was very good, they worked tirelessly to keep the guests entertained, but we could feel sometimes they were overworked. The entertainment by the pools was brilliant and funny.  the evening entertainment not so good, worn out costumes and lack of resources to put up a good show, but you couldn't really blame the team, they were doing their best with what they were given by the management! I could go on and on, but I think I have said enough to give an idea of how bad the hotel was!

Overall, our impression was that the hotel was trying to maximise profits by serving guests with very cheap, low quality food and drinks, and that is not a good feeling! We all had diarrhoea and stomach cramps at some point during the holiday. My son could not put any food in his mouth for a whole day as he was having stomach ache. I was the last to have diarrhoea and upset stomach, which lasted until a couple of days after coming back home!

We may go back to Tunisia one day, but will never stay in this hotel again! Strongly advise, stay away from it, it is not 4 Star as advertised!!!

Very disappointed!!! Booked this hotel on the basis that it was a 4 Star...Nowhere near,  it is a  2- 3 Star at best!!!

on first impressions we complained to TUI and wanted to change hotels….our room was small/ awful view and the food was rank….after being told that it was £1400 to move hotels for 4 days we decided to stay and eat out….

Food- breakfast ok, lunch rank ANYWHERE bland and sometimes inedible, the main restaurant smells like a bird cadge, the snack bar bland and undercooked pizza, not tried the panini bar as they only offered 2 different flavours, we ate in the Mediterranean restaurant which was massively disappointing, dinner pretty much the same, the afternoon donuts & pancakes saved the day! 

Pools- the pool in aqua really good, the baby pool near beach awful and dangerous, the pool near beach very deep not suitable for young children

Staff- the entertainment team work TIRELESSLY…the hotel rooms manager, guest relations lady really informative and helpful, the waiters at the restaurant really helpful, the other bar staff rude and ignore ques and serve who they want….

Rooms we was staying in room 5 and it was awful…we got moved and was much better view really good , the rooms are out dated and need modernising, after the maids have been it is overpowering smell of air freshener, 
Over all small Percentage of staff go above and beyond rest can’t be bothered, the hotel won hotel of the year 2011 and I genuinely don’t think it’s seen a deep clean/ maintenance/ or a paintbrush since, which I sympathise that they have battled no tourism until recently.

Definitely not a 4STAR

We bought this as a present for mum's birthday. And we are really happy. Hotel Is really nice, clean. I have never seen more friendly and willing personal. Mainly barman Mr.Mohamed Assidi from express bar and waiter Ali from main restaurant. They care about us all the time and they are my nuber 1 off this hotel. We are grateful for this 7 days and we hope to se all the personal next time ! Thank's a lot and see you next summer!

Family of 9 travelled to Tunisia Monastir and chose sunconnect resort and spa after looking at a lot of hotels. (We were going to choose Iberostar) wish we did. 
Upon arrival the so called director took us to show us our rooms. But before that they asked for paper copies of our booking. This day and age no one really asks for paper copies. Anyway I had them so I handed them to him. He took us to show us our room. We booked 3 rooms for a family of 5 and a family room for a family of 4. Anyway the first room he showed us had beda for 4 people. I said I have booked 3 rooms so he said yes it doesn’t matter I’ll put a bed in here!!! I thought he was joking at first but he clearly wasn’t. Because then I said what about a bathroom are you going to put a bathroom in here too. So basically he was going to fob us off with 2 rooms. Pathetic. After few minutes he realised we weren’t gonna fall for his trap he took us to the other room. Rooms are ok not as they appear in the pictures-very outdated. Just really odd and old fashioned bathrooms with toilets just placed in awkward positions. Half of the sockets were not working or either falling off their walls. Towels were so old and had been recycled many many times. And the bath tub well make sure you’re very flexible to get in and out and if you are not then please take a step ladder. The built in shower will just fall on to you like a broken tap and when you have showered come out and then lift your legs up to wash them again. Because the dirty water wasn’t going anywhere eek. Food, raw eggs and omelette. Room temperature tea or coffee in chipped cups. Lunch ok actually the fresh flat breads were really good tbh. And dinner well no comment it was awful repetitive from previous days. Fish steaks looked ok (never had any didn’t want to risk it) after looking at the fish curry which was made out of fish head. Salads are ok. Desserts were all repeated from the lunch. Mad rush in the dinning hall with no organisation at all. Waiters ignore you as you play hunger games to grab tables. No cutlery or napkins. And language barrier especially if your first language is English. Learn French before you go if you already don’t know it. Lounge area is ok good sofas to lounge on. Entertainment is ok the animation or the entertainment team try their best. Pools are the only best thing about this place. Good number of pools for adults and kids. The slide pools are ace actually. The walk to the sea is literally 2 minutes but shame about the beach and the seaweed and cigarette end’s everywhere. The sea isn’t clean as the Mediterranean Sea, good temperature for a quick swim or a paddle. And they have good showers to wash yourself off after getting into the sea. The towel situation is a bit strange you pay 3 dinar at the reception obtain a card then go to the towel hut which has odd opening times. They have couple of shops in the hotel which are there to rip you off. Lots of drinks available at different counters. They have the average pizza burger panini pasta counters few located here and there at the resort. But all taste pretty bland and basic with cheap cheese cheap Mayo and cheap ketchup. Beware off the boat excursion man £25 for 4 hours (7am to 11am) and he said lunch is provided! Who eats lunch between 7am to 11am?! Also the spa guy tried to sell us a deal for 89 euro’s and when we haggled he took the price down to 50 euros which I found odd. So we never bothered booking it. This resort is definitely not 4 star. Just make sure look at all reviews and decide if you want to go. Don’t accept Dubai 4 star here or a Turkey 4 star it definitely is not.  The standards are low as opposed to what they have advertised. The maids are mostly sat on their phone in corridors. Also no AC in corridors. And AC in the rooms and dining hall are more Heat Conditioner. Avoid at all costs especially if you are expecting a four star resort.

Avoid if possible there will be much better hotels in this small town giving it 2 star due to the pools. It is one star
