Quiet and peaceful small hotel. Very nice service. Super place to relax. You can use the attractions here for a fee, although you are not registered for the night. It's not expensive. I would recommend.

Quiet and calm

We stayed here as part of a holiday excursion to the Sahara desert. It was sold to us as 4 stars but that hasn’t been reviewed in years. The hotel was  freezing cold and shower was too. not great after being on a coach for hours. Dinner was ok bit rushed as we didn’t have long before we had to go to bed!  we had to be up to leave by 5am so breakfast was a very sparse affair. If the hotel is having a weekly tour staying with them then surely they could be more organised and provide a better breakfast. The room was just awful. Hallways were in the pitch black as the lights didn’t work. Hairdryer couldn’t be used as the electrics looked  dangerous. The room was not comfortable, heating didn’t work, shutters wouldn’t close properly, beds like lying on brick and the blankets hardly what I call soft. I understand it’s the desert but it’s meant to be a 4 star facility so I at least expect a decent bed and breakfast provided.

Awful

Stopped here over night on a tour, We were told 4 star hotel OMG I wouldn't even give it 2!!! The room was disgusting, Bed covered in fag burns, The bathroom was filthy with no hot water. The fridge had mould growing inside. It was awful. The meal at night was disgusting I had a buttered French stick for dinner. Thank god it was only a stop over I would have died if I had to stay here for 2 weeks.

OMG what a dump, AVOID!!!!!!!!!

The hotel has potential. It's in a good location for a stopover after a long drive from Northern Tunisia.
It's such a shame the conditions of the hotel are so poor. Rooms are really old and in urgent need of renovation. Food was not too bad when compared to other hotels in Tunisia.
I would have given 3 stars, but I was disgusted that in all common rooms it was allowed to smoke, except in the restaurant. It's fair to say that it's common place in Tunisia for people to smoke everywhere. Even in the airport you can smell that disgusting smoke in your gate while waiting for your flight.
The hotel was probably a 4 star hotel long time ago... but it definitely lost 2 stars. Rooms and bathroom look old and dirty.
Anyway, this hotel was chosen by Thomas Cook as part of a tour. Perhaps the hotel doesn't get enough money for a renovation? Not sure, but either Thomas Cook help them to renovate it or choose another hotel.
I went there end of Feb, it was very cold and our group was the only in the hotel, which can accommodate around 4 groups/buses.

I feel sorry

This should be a great hotel. This modern building is constructed to look like a desert fort and inside it's laid out around a huge swimming pool and although I both arrived and left in the dark, you could see that it should be a good place to stay. Unfortunately, I like most of the other reviewers stayed here as part of a tour (in my case via Thomas Cook) and was dealt with in an almost contemptible manner, especially by the restaurant staff. I was told that the restaurant was open between 7.15pm to 9pm. When I arrived at 8pm, most of the food was gone. I was told by the chef's that "that's it, no more" Obviously I refused to accept that and complained to the manager. Immediately, more food appeared, which was so poor that I left it. I noticed that my situation replicated itself several times with other people and eventually worked out that the hotel staff were coming out of the kitchen with piles of food on their plates.

Awful staff, very poor food

We stayed for 1 night on a Sahara Experience Tour. It was clean, safe and the food was OK, but you have to remember that it is not main stream star rated luxury. I would not want to spend a week there, but as a 1 night stop over it was adequate. A couple in our party told the guide they couldn't sleep because they were cold and the heating didn't work, he asked if they had contacted reception, they said no!
Out first room had ants, so I went to reception and tried to explain, I will never know if he totally understood but we got another room without question. The buffet dinner was OK when washed down with some Tunisian wine and we certainly didn't suffer any ill effects, breakfast buffet was again basic choices but we left fed and refreshed. If you don't have expectations you won't be disappointed. I am sure if you venture further south hotels will get a lot worse!

It was somewhere to crash!

Dated rooms, 1st room had old stained towels and stained blankets, no heating - cold. Changed room heating worked but not very well. Dining experience for breakfast and dinner chaotic. Staff really tried, but too few to cope. Some organisational issues? Lots of other guests unhappy. I was embarrased at level of service - lack of dining space, all uncleared tables, basic breakfast.... List could go on but I feel too sorry for the hotel to continue.

Sadly poor on many counts

I've stayed in 14 hotels in Tunisia over the past 5 years. Standards are different than in Europe and North America.The Yadis Oasis Kebilli is very good by Tunisian standards.The staff are professional and helpful. The public areas and rooms are reasonably clean. I did find ants in the bathroom, but not many. The beds are comfortable, there is hot water, breakfast is good, and dinner (for an additional 14 TDN) is excellent. Although the hotel is about a 20 min. walk from town, it is a pleasant walk and you can always take a taxi if you want. The room rates are surprisingly high, but, there aren't many choices in Kebilli. I'd recommend Yadis Oasis if your travels take you to Kebilli.
