The place is awful. The room (an bathroom) was of very poor quality. Restaurant was closed (and this place is outside the town). Service by the owner - non existent. Only 2-3 other people were at this place at the time of my stay. Do not be fooled by their website. AVOID THIS PLACE!

The worst place I ever stayed. AVOID THIS PLACE

The property has been purchased by new owners who have arrived to find the that it has been run into the ground by the previous owner. I feel for them however I am disappointed after they assured us they were going to be honest with future bookings, post up to date photos and advise patrons that the place is not what is advertised. People are saving and spending hundreds/thousands of dollars for a holiday to Vava'u but the dishonesty of the new owners not to tell patrons the truth and take their money is a shame. On our arrival there were bee's/hornets nest in the outer wall of the villa you had to walk past, no restaurant (new owner cooked scrambled eggs the next morning and served black burnt toast) no hot water, ceilings falling in due to water leaks, glam tents torn and mouldy, new owners father and son sharing 1 of the 4 rooms upstairs and drinking with locals downstairs in non existent restaurant (I understand to re-open soon). Then there was the screaming match with a young couple who had booked a glam tent but were given a room with no hot water and the new owner refused to give them a discount.The photo's on the net we were advised are several years old and I can assure you they certainly are, you have been warned. The attached photo gives you an appreciation of the swimming pool and glam tents that WERE at the rear of the property.

I dont recommend booking. This place is not owned by the same people and therefore the standard you're seeing in these comments may not be an indication of what it is like. They also do not give a free cancellation period, even with over 2 months of notice.

Vanessa and her staff were very kind, giving this place the very personalized feel of an Inn. I felt like a Moroccan princess, staying in the large tent which sported its own porch with a lounging couch and an adjacent, private bathroom separated by a wall from the bedroom. I enjoyed the evening ocean breeze, which was especially helpful to dry out our wet suits after swimming with whales all day. I felt like I was staying in a tree house, surrounded by calming calls of many different birds.  We marveled at an enormous fox bat that flew by one evening. There was a faint sound of drumming in the distance, and yes, roosters, cows or roaming pigs some mornings. I used ear plugs and slept like a baby.  I appreciated the location as it was close enough to town to take a $10-15 taxi in to dinner or church, but not so close that people would be wandering near your tent. We loved the Sunday brunch, but did need to rush to make it to 10am church.  I felt safe jogging around the neighborhoods to both sides. I would stay here again.

Glam tent beside mangrove - birds calling makes it feel like you're in a tree house

We planned to stay here for a few days of whale swimming, before leaving for a week sailing around the islands.  We ended coming back after the sailing, unexpectedly, when our flights to Haa'pai were cancelled.  Luckily Vava'u Villa had room for us for our last three days.  The staff was wonderful in every way.  The meals were great.  They easily accommodated a Vegetarian member of our party. Meal options included a Luau type feast, with local musicians and dancers, a Mongolian Barbecue and all you can eat Pizza/Pasta night.  Sunday Brunch was very good, and the weekday breakfast was excellent home made bread and tropical fruit. The entire place was immaculately clean.
We couldn't have been happier.  Very quiet, glamping tents available, very close (TOP$10 taxi ride) to town.  THANKS Vanessa and crew!!!

Highly recommend this place we had an amazing glamping tent hospitality was wonderful home cooked meals and kids loved all the animals and helped us link up with all the activities on the island thank you will definitely stay with you guys next year
