Located about 5 hours south of Bangkok, this resort was a friendly surprise to visit. The food was good, the lodging was comfortable and the resort itself was very clean and well managed. The best time to visit any resort in Thailand is during the week and this resort was no exception. During the weekends, this particular resort operates at full capacity, which is about 110 guests. During the week we were the only family on site and it was beautiful. Kayaking, a massage by the pool, transportation to the local market. You name it and they provided it. I don't know if they can accommodate everyone during the busy weekend, but during the week we were well taken care of. If you and your family are looking for a relaxing beachside resort at a good price, check out the Haadsaikaew Resort, you won't be disappointed. On a side note: During the week, you want to reserve one of the colored bungalows. They are closer to the water and have a nice little seated area on the rooftop. Great for star gazing at night.
