Our stay here was top class. The rooms are clean and spacious, they could use a bit of decoration on the walls, but otherwise well set up. The hosts, Oat and his mother Ease were like family to us. Oat picked up up from the bus station as we came in from Chiang Mai. He brought us to the guesthouse which is very well located off of the main street in New Sukhothai. this means quiet rooms and good sleeping! Oats Mom Ease showed us everything and explained how to get to the Old city. One day she took us to her government run fitness center where we had the best massage ever for 120 Baht. This was not your oily half nude massage, this was a real professional medical massage, using the hands, knees, elbows and pressure on aching muscles and tender spots. We felt like new people after that. We had the herbal treatment after the massage for 30 Baht. Oat now has a cocktail bar right on the main street. We had some terriffic cocktails every evening for a great price. 80 Baht for any cocktail! The breakfast at Baan Thit is very good and we had everything we needed. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone that needs a quiet location to sleep, clean and friendly hosts that will bend over backwards to help you. You get free use of their bicycles too. The price/quality is not to be beaten.
