Driving from Chiang Mai to Ayuthaya and decided to check out Sukhothai. Put Sukhothai into booking.com and this little gem was first up. A delightful little resort of 4 bungalows in gated court yard. The bungalows are basic but clean and comfortable. The beds were a bit hard (normal all throughout Asia) but OK for a night or 2. The place is run by a Mum & Dad who don’t speak English but we had great fun communicating with each other. Their son speaks very good English when he is there. Don’t upset him though he is a local police officer. They will loan you bicycles to get around the historical site which is about a kilometre away. You will also find restaurants across the road form the historical site. A great place for a short stay.
