I rate the Agate Hotel very highly. It is located within the Jomtien Complex (now known as Supertown) which is a small area with a number of gay bars. However I was not disturbed by the inevitable noise at night, due to the hotel being situated at a sufficient distance away and also because of the quality of the building. The Jomtien beaches are within easy walking distance and Pattaya can be quickly reached by songthieu taxis passing a frequent intervals on the close main road. The guest rooms are very comfortable and well equipped with a tv, tea/coffee facility, room safe and provided with a balcony. The Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. There are two pools which are kept clean and tidy I liked the breakfasts which tend towards healthy options and Thai food rather than typical British/American favourites. All in all I had a great two weeks at the Agate and hope to stay there again during my next holiday in Thailand.
